tomato paste replacements (veggie sloppy joe?)

My daughter wants to make a sloppy joe from mix she bought, but we are lacking tomato paste. Does anybody know of some replacements? I read tomato sauce, tomato puree, or ketchup. We'll probably use ketchup, but just in case there's a better solution.Thank you.

I've always used tomato sauce and tomato paste interchangeably. But I hate ketchup, so that's probably why I've never tried that.

You can also use canned pumpkin or pureed carrots but of course it tastes a bit different.

and i really like to have a chance and i want to be in a situation to use this facility in my home and really want to be but we also lacking tomato paste
