I was just wondering why is the dogs' nose always wet??? Even if they have no colds, totally healthy and not sick...
Have you noticed that too? Their nose was never dry, it is always moist and cool!
Is that wetness sign of a healthier dogs? On the other hand, is dry nose often signed of an illness in dogs or even cats?
Is there a scientific studies or explanations about this?

I am under the impression that if they get a dry nose it means they are ill. I am not 100% sure though its just what I have heard. A cold wet nose is the sign of a healthy happy dog.

You are correct angelsmummy, a cold, wet nose means that a dog is healthy and fit. This, I think, is the easiest way to check how your dog is. Of my dog ever seems a bit different, under the weather or is acting funny the first thing that I do is check if his nose is wet or not. Sometimes his nose is dry so I just keep a very close eye on him and I often find that in an hour or so his nose is cold and wet again.

Yes I heard that too... But I am wondering though, where is that water coming from??? It is a bit weird, for us humans if our nose is wet it means we are sick of colds...
Anyways... at least we have something to check and it is an alarm if their noses become dry or something... I think it is better that way for they cannot speak and tell us if they are feeling bad...
