Why do cable companies charge so much? Remember when you bought a TV home from the store, plugged it in and viola TV. Now you have to pay a 3rd party to connect your service. You still seeing commercials so why cable? Cable is a never ending rip off.

Cable is a big rip, pretty much. Except Comcast, which isn't too bad. You pay like $30 a month I think for about 100 channels (or more if you have HD). Dish, Direct TV - all those other sattelite ones are a pretty big rip off though. It's frustrating. I wouldn't pay for it, except I love my re-runs of Law & Order on USA. . It's worth it to me.

I love Law & Order also. However, I think Comcast is the worse since they have no competition. We either use Comcast for our cable or nothing.
