My daughter was watching the MTV show Made and the kid was afraid of going down the 50 feet slide and then he did it and thought it was fun, kept doing it...are there any fears you got over and then they seemed so much fun you kept wanting to do them?

When I was a child, I was absolutely terrified of moths. I used to play with another child who lived near me, and I was a bit scared of her (I was a real wimp when I was a kid). At the bottom of our road, there was a large bush and in the summer, millions of moths used to collect in there and eat the leaves. My friend had a pet mouse, and she told me that he loved to eat these moths, and she suggested we go together to the bush and collect a lot of the moths for her mouse. I was too scared to say no as I knew I'd be ridiculed if I did, but the thought of the moths was equally petrifying. As I knew that her ridicule of me if I refused to go moth-catching with her would last a lot longer than the encounter with the moths, I decided to grit my teeth and try to tackle the moths. It was awful at first....having to catch these moths in my hands and give them to her to put in a large glass jar for the mouse....but, ever since that day, I lost my fear of moths and fairly soon, I actually came to be very fond of them. They have throughout the rest of my life never bothered me at all, whereas prior to that moth-catching day, I'd go into hysterics if even just a little one came into my bedroom.
