Hi, I used to play the retail WoW for about 2 years then I stopped for about a year. And now I restarted but this time I decided to try a private server where you don't have to pay a monthly fee. :D So I found this blizz-like private server which means it is exactly like the real retail version. I know theres a lot of private servers out there. I play on NightWoW server http://wow.night.si/index.php. What about you what server do you play on? What type of server is it? And if you would like to try to play on a private server feel free to ask. I will be glad to help!

I quit wow 2 years ago. I played on the thurussian server and had a lvl 70 undead rogue. Yes , I enjoyed getting cheap criticals and not being the target in a fight. Stealth ftw :0

When I got into wow I first found a site called mmowned.com. It was all aboutplaying on a private server and how to create your own. I had this idea to make my own server and it went a long ways but failed only cause I let it. Private servers are never gonna be as good as wow servers simply because of all the new stuff the blizz team comes out with and the new expanisions. I played on vindicated wow and I love that private server, simply cause it wasn't really hard to lvl but wasn't easy either. These types of servers make it fun to play and are always online with no downtime

I see you play runescape I find that really funny! I admit it is a great idea how the made a simple game and made it so much better with time I was addicted to it for about 5 years and it was the first mmorpg that i played and got hocked on them after that! Some great times

Like milkcow, I also play on the official Blizzard servers. I don't support private servers because they're not stable and you might end up getting disappointed. I like to be on the safe, fun side.

I play on the original WoW servers, I must admit the improved content is worth paying for. And for the price, it's not really worth it to bother with anything else. There's too much cheating on the private servers, and that's how they make their money. All to save less than $20! Not worth it... And private server goes down, everything gone, Blizz servers are here to stay!

Private Servers are definitely not worth it. The popularity is very minimal meaning you don't have as many people who are competent to play with. Also, its very buggy and lots of content is disabled, even on the Bliz-like servers. I think its better to just play retail.

Yea I know what you guys mean. That is true I get bored pretty fast because you are practicly playing by yourself in such a huge world... But private servers exsist because a lot of people can't afford the monthly fee. And if a private server starts to get big and the creaters are getting profit of it(donations from the players) most likely it gets shut down by blizzard. I just like to take breaks and try out new games. Ive tried so many but I agree with you guys WoW retail version is by far the best MMORPG out there! :D
