What's your unforgettable experience in taking public ride?

A suspicious looking man in black jacket got in the bus, and to my surprise, he sat between me and the girl I was sitting next to, even though there were a lot of vacant seats there. As the bus got fully occupied and went on, the man crawled his fingers on my side. I thought at first that he was sleeping (he pretended that he was) and that he was making involuntary jerks, but the pervert continued doing it. I struggled to move to the very edge of the seat, there was absolutely no more vacant seats to transfer to, so I'd have to bear that for almost an hour. What was your unforgettable experience in commuting? It need not be awful like mine, just share it, good or bad.

I have interesting experience in the bus. I feel the world is too small. Several month ago, i got back my home by the 37th bus after my work,i sat one seat in the last row, After three stops, there were not vacant seats, some people stood there, a woman and a kid got on, I let them sat instead of i stood. the kid said thank you to me. Two weeks ago, i sat the same bus, the same seat, the same woman and kid. they said "thank you again".

I had a really scary experience. It happened two years ago but I can still vividly recall what happened. I boarded a passenger jeepney and a guy immediately scooted over to make space for me. I sat near him but I wasn't worried because there were other students seating inside the jeepney. However, I felt someone tugging on my jeans. When I was about to aboard the jeepney, I noticed that my jeans were torn and my money is just a second away to be taken by the guy. I immediately disembarked and ran toward the security guards. I was so frightened that the guy will come after me but he ran immediately because of the security guards.

I haven't experienced anything in a ride where theft is involved. And I hope I won't ever! But I get really skeptical when I carry really valuable things with me like a big amount of money, especially when it's too crowded that you can even barely move.

I was traveling in Israel. I had been in Tel Aviv and I wished to take a bus to Jerusalem. I got on a local bus and tried taking it to the central bus station. However when the bus arrived there was shouting and the bus door opened for a few seconds. I jumped out with my backpack. The bus driver drove away really quickly. Then a man pointed to a hand bag in a tree. He told me there might be a bomb inside. The area had lots of police and I rushed off to get my bus to Jerusalem. I used to work in an office in London. I took either the Victoria or Black Friars train then London Underground to work. I missed the fast Victoria train and got the slow Black Friars train. I arrived at work and then news came that there had been a bomb exploded at Victoria station. I was so glad that I had missed that train and went to Black Friars instead. I have a few more unforgettable experiences that I know were unusual. Happy traveling next time hey.

I do not really have a bad experience, so far all of mine have been rather pleasant and good, other then the time i was late for my first day at work because of the traffic haha! Other then that, i had a fear of public transport a little while ago anyway, i get slightly claustrophobic when put into small places with loads of strangers...

Well that's fine as long as they harmless. :) It gets scary when you happen to be in a car or a bus where you feel like all of the passengers seem to know one another and you are the only one that they don't know, and then the car happens to take a different route than what's supposed to be.

Oh, what a pervert indeed! If I were you I would slap him and stand up instantly to show him that I was disgusted and pissed off. I have been riding a public bus many times before and yes, there were some things happened that were so annoying, but today, I just want to share something light that I still could remember well. It didn't occur to me, but another passenger who's sitting in front of me. This man was holding a plastic bag of oranges, but he probably lost his grasp and some of the oranges rolled on the bus floor to the back. He was trying to collect all the oranges when suddenly there was a smell of oranges being peeled off from behind me. The man turned his head to look and the jerk behind me was actually eating the orange he just picked up from the floor.

I know. I was really coward to even take action. Ah, I hate that man! So inconsiderate and greedy! I wonder how the man in front of you reacted. Tsk!

Every time I dare take public transport, it's like I become a magnet for the world's most unpleasant people. I have not had many (if any) good experiences with public transport, which is a shame because I've always found it relaxing and peaceful until the inevitable occurs and I end up next to that person who finds it acceptable to shout down their cell phones for the whole journey () and such.

Hi mjcookie Well that doesnt seem to be a pleasant occasion, sorry you have suffer for that time. I havent had any bad nor good experience, i dont use too much the bus except for the one of my university and there, the only awful thing i had suffered is to be like a "sardine in a can" when the bus rider stops for more people even if there are a lot of people already. Well i can comprehend since its on an hour when all the people needs to get to the university.

I don't like standing on the bus, either, because I often fall out of balance. If the bus that comes by is full, I don't hail it. I had even waited 2 hours for a bus with vacant seats, because almost every bus that came were fully occupied.
