In Buffy-World, What Couple Did You Always Wish Would Have Happened?

I secretly always wanted Spike and Willow to get together, not sure why; but I was always so annoyed that Buffy didn't like Spike properly, I just randomly decided Willow was a better idea, hah! what about you? it can be as odd as they come!

I can't think of anyone that I wanted to hook up. I, of course, was immediately a fan of Angel and Buffy together... and yet I also loved Spike and Buffy as a couple! I cannot see Spike and Willow together. Well, no, maybe bad Willow and Spike. But even that doesn't seem like a perfect match. She was still wayyy too powerful for him! Actually, when Wesley came along (and had a crush on Cordelia), I kind of thought he and Willow would be cute together (both nerdy types). As it turns out, the couple did marry in real life!

I really wanted Buffy and Spike to properly get together! There was too much crap between Angel and Buffy, you know.. The curse... Losing a soul.. Blahblah.. And Spike was just gorgeous, god knows how she kept her hands off him! And I like the idea of Wesley and Willow together, they'd be cute!

There was definitely intense chemistry between Buffy and Spike! It was more "naughty" while Angel and Buffy were more "nice," though with a lot of drama. Yes, Spike was bad-boy hot, but I sooo adore Angel more. The actor, David, is still incredibly gorgeous! "Willow" has also really grown up. The actress is quite beautiful, so much more than I remember Willow to ever be. She was so plain-Jane for many seasons. And "Wesley" is still quite charming, as recently seen on "Dollhouse" (with "Buffy" actress, Eliza Dushku).

Ok now this is by far one of the weirdest choices i have ever seen in my life :) No ofense chubit, it's just that the thought never crossed my mind because they are so different and ...i don't like Willow, but i love Spike. He's character is the best on the show. And I don't mean the looks. I mean the depth of the character. I think he was very well constructed with qualities and flaws and the most...realistic though he was a vampire. I could never see him with someone other than Buffy because i just adored their love/hate relationship, his constance in loving her, soul or no soul and the way she overcame her adversities and predjudice to end up falling for him and trusting him not only with her life , but her most intimate fantasies. As odd as it may sound, i think people would much rather entrust others with their lives than their secrets. So, unfortunately I don't like your choice, but i find it intriguing :)

I like your description of Spike's character. Spike's also my most favorite character, heck even my most favorite vampire in the fiction world. I even cried at the last episode when Buffy said I love you and Spike just wouldn't believe it. Spike and Buffy for me is the best pairing of this series.

Just about any of the guys should have been overjoyed to be paired with Eliza Dushku's character. She was definitely the hottest girl on the show and the baddest. Too bad Dollhouse got canceled, it was a really great show.

Anya ^^. She was pretty cool, but I agree, Willowand Xander should have gotten together. he was silly, she loved him and blah. I love Xander, but when he kept screwing Willow over I began to dislike him!

Hi, chubit. I never thought about Willow and Spike getting together at all. I never thought that they were made for each other. They don't look like each other types. If Willow was the dark Willow, then they might would have hit it off. Spike never seems to be the evil vampire. He is only evil when he changes into a vampire. I always wanted to see Buffy and Z hook up.

Okay, here goes - I'm just gonna jump right in. I was always a fan of Xander and Cordelia (as evidenced by my online name) and was really upset when they broke up. I was not that fond of Angel/Buffy simply because at the time I did not like Angel. I was not a fan of his until he got his own show. Spike and Buffy? Bleh! To me, it was a poor imitation and attempt at making another vampire in love with slayer storyline that they had already done with Angel. And while I know that Buffy had every reason for being upset about being dragged out of heaven - the way she treated Spike was abuse. If it had been the other way around, everyone would have been pointing that out but because Spike was male (and a vampire in this case, I guess)it was supposed to be okay. It wasn't with me - Spike was one of my favorite characters. Now that I have gotten my rant out, lol - I would have liked to see Xander get together with Buffy. I read that at the end of the series, Nicholas Brendon and Sarah Michelle Geller both pitched this idea to Joss and company but was turned down. Too bad. I also read that Joss had always thought about having either Willow or Xander be gay from the very beginning - the only reason he didn't was because he had to decide which way to go. He ended up with Tara and Willow and while I found that to be very tastefully done and their romance to be one of the best on Buffy - I would have liked to have Spike and Xander paired together. I always felt that the reason these two argued so much was because they were so much alike in so many ways. Not tough vampire Spike - but more human Spike (or William). When Spike was human, like Xander, he was a misfit. One that was made fun of for being different than everyone else. Both of them felt as though they were beneath the others and all either of them wanted was someone to love them unconditionally. I think they could have found that together and I always enjoyed their scenes together - especially those where they were actually working together (although the arguments were pretty hilarious).
