find an old friend after a dozen years apart

have you ever experienced lost old friend like childhood friend. I think apart of you have the same case. But the question how to find them ? I imagine that facebook is a site who has so much member from whole the world maybe I am able to find by this way. No thingking anymore I search the name on it. Hopelly get approval. 3 days later when I check my mail one of friend have added me in hurry I log in to facebook to find out more about him. I start to tell my list of friend while I was elementary school then he give respons oh god he is the person I look for. From this simple story I wanna say that facebook could also said as people finder.

Facebook is an amazing tool for this use. I think it has probably reunited a lot of people. You could say it revolutionizes the social world.

This is one area i prefer facebook to other social sites. The search friends tool is awesome. Any part of the world that you may be, as long as you are on facebook,you can get connected to your friends,relatives. Its a lovely site i must confess.

Yup, in my primary school, social networking has not been introduced, and parents would not allow the children to use it because they afraid it isn't safe.
However, nowadays almost everyone use facebook, and we can easily find our friends there. Unlike friendster which are more towards fancy profiles, facebook allow us to reconnect through their professional interface.

i agree. i only joined facebook because i heard that my classmates 20 years ago were in facebook. we have no contacts because we now live in different parts of the world. i was very happy when they responded, and since then i have been addicted to facebook, playing games..

i've also gotten in contact with a few people i've not seen in a number of yrs, and that was through someone else i knew. that is in there. worst part is when you end up with a heap of names all the same and profiles with no pics. so you can't pick up if it is the right person. apart from take a punt on it.

Yes,i have an experience. I lost a friend in my childhood. Once night he sent me a message. afdter opening messege he said to me to join in the facebook. then i added him on the facebook. I regular chat with my friend in fcebook.... BEST IS FACEBOOK!!!!!!!!

Facebook can be good for finding people who went to the same school or worked in the same place as you. However, it's only good if they sign up, and for me, it's not been as good for finding old aquaintances that I did not go to school or work with.
