Cross Breeding Dogs

I have come across varied discussions on cross breeding dogs. Some people I meet say that cross breeding dogs is cruel and abusive. Others say that it is the natural process of creating breeds. I happen to occur that cross breeding produces new breeds with little to no ill-effect. Most breeds that we have today are the direct result of cross breeding. The doberman pincer exists due to cross breeding. Several dog breeds were chosen for their traits and bred until the breed we know as the doberman pincer was created. An interesting cross breeding I have seen is the Labrador Retriever with just about any breed to create a hypo-allergic dog with some traits of the breed they really wanted. We currently have a rescued dog cross bred between a border collie and a Dalmation. This makes for a very active dog with medium size and hair length. The breed is stubborn, but very loyal and extremely smart. Fortunately the deaf trait found in many dalmations did not show up in this breed. Even though we rescued this puppy from a kill shelter, it still amazes me the number of people who frown on me for having a mixed breed dog. It seems this world lacks no shortage of arrogance and snobbery.

I don't think there's anything wrong with it.It just more of a variety.I don't see how it would be cruel, that don't make sense.Mix breeds make great dogs too.People that like pure bred puppies are against cross breeding.I don't know why it's their business.I like both, pure breds and mix breeds. They're all lovable.

I think the problem some people have is that some breeders have no regard for the out come of the cross breed. For instance a Basengi is a quiet breed that does not like to bark and a collie loves to bark. The result is a dog with a constant battle within itself.

I just would like to advise if incase you will decide to cross breed, just make it sure that you do it in a good purpose and you know the character of both dog if you dont like be surprise of the result. And hope you dont do it just for fun because who knows one day you can create a monster "we never know". Just be resposible being a creator because sometimes, curiosity can kill.
