The job thing can be a real problem for some.. I work as an ancient greek teacher, but I currently have not many students.. I am not working in a public school, so I don't have a stable salary every month... I just give lessons to a persons house.. Well.. my dream was to be a teacher, but the thing is that I'm never sure If I do my job well, and also the payment is too low.... What is your experience of your job???

I am working as an online English teacher for Japanese. It's a nice job since I am just working at home. It's really effortless and all I have to do is to sit down in front of my computer and start a lesson or an English conversation with my students. I also receive a good payment from them. But the thing is, teaching is not really my profession. This is not what I have studied for many years. I am a registered nurse and I graduated almost two years ago. Honestly, I don't feel like working in a hospital because I am not comfortable with the ambiance. I am actually confused now on what I really want to do. I wanted to take a masters degree in nursing so that I will be able to have a good salary if in case I will work and practice my real profession. All I really want is to have some good amount of income from a non-stressful job. I am now beginning to save money because I really wished to have my own business. I want to have my own jeepney and my own pharmacy. With that, I no longer need to work hard in order to earn. I just have to mange these businesses. I don't know when will it happen but I hope it will in the future.

I can tell you that I've been trying to figure that out myself for the last 10 years. I graduated from high school that long ago. I am now working on my third degree and will be moving to my fourth once I'm finished. Luckily though the fourth will be a move up and not a lateral move so to speak. I've been in the computer software/service industry for the last 6 years. It is something that I enjoy doing. But I don't see it as my passion. I'm still working on figuring out what my passion is and then moving in that direction. I would recommend doing whatever your passion is. Despite the pay you will feel more rewarded and wake up every morning loving what you do. You won't dread getting up and going to work. If you love teaching then go and teach. There are plenty of schools out there that are in need of more teachers. You can of course look in the public sector but don't forget that you have options in the private sector as well. That may prove better for you especially for what your focus is. Not to mention private schools are able to pay better for their teachers. Just make sure that you have the education as well.
