How many pounds did you gain over the holidays?

I am guessing that with all of the drinking and eating that many persons did over the holidays ,they are now left with excess pounds around their midsections. All the cake and ham and other yummy stuff normally collects in that section of your body. I am also guessing that many persons are now thinking that they need to implement some kind of excercise routine to help curb their bulging midsection. Are you one of those perons who are in that position and what are you going to do about it?

Hi! I did not gain any pound at all. I do not have that have any strong appetite for fatty foods so I think weight will never be a problem to me. I was eating vegetable salad and fruits most of the time during the holidays. I was the one preparing in the kitchen but I was the one who was eating less. I was just enjoying the fellowship and did not give myself to food.

I haven't been on the scales yet but I don't expect a big weight gaining. We ate pretty normal stuff during the holidays, and I didn't have more of it either. If I were to gain weight it would have been for the high tea we had right after the holidays. I did stuff my face that day, lol!

I didn’t gain much weight over Christmas because my weight gain was beforehand! I have always been slim and not worried too much about my weight until lately, for the first time in years I have actually gained a bit and I am having trouble fitting into my favourite jeans. Our family has started walking every day a minimum of 50 minutes each night as well as cutting down portion sizes and in between meal snacks. Fingers crossed I’ll be wearing my jeans with comfort real soon!

Hi there... Yah it is true that we gained extra pounds after the holiday. After all the eating of all those sweets and delicious foods. For myself I gained about 1kg I guess and I am thinking of doing some diet again since I wanted to keep my regular weight of 48kg. After pregnancy I am about 54kg then later went down to 50kg then after the holiday I am 51kg so i need to loose about 3kg. So strict diet again..

Of course, the holidays are the season of eating delicious food. However, everyone must know the limits of their own body. I eat just as I need it, not how much I wanted. Being obese can be a dangerous stage when one are risking his/her own life in jeopardy such as heart problem, diabetes etc. Please see my website in my profile to get more tips to be a healthy and beautiful person.

Hello my friend ronnyb Ji, Well, as per medical advise, I have to remain between 51-53 Kgs and never increased myself since five yrs now, as I am chronic with RA/Dm2/HTN/UTI, but my hubby who takes for HTN, never has control over his diet and is getting buly, during festival/anniversaries, he will project out and eat whatever is offered and I am afraid. May God bless You and have a great time.

I don´t know if I gained some weight during the holidays. But I do know that my New Year´s promise was to take care of my weight and shed the almost 20 pounds I put on immediatly after I quit smoking, almost 2 years ago. I´m not a person that gains weight easily, but the first months after I quit, I ate more hard candy than in all my life. The difficulty is to lose the weight later, but if I could stop smoking after 50 years, I can do this too.. By the way, I still crave for ciggies after 2 years. Happy posting!
