Now that Christmas has come and gone, Were you pleased with your gifts? You can tell me. I won't tell. Mine were all pretty good, except for the robe I got from my mother. I already have two. My son got me slippers which I treasured, because he had never gotten me a Christmas gift before. We make lists and say what we want usually, because otherwise it is potluck. I think the robe was actually supposed to be a birthday present...but oh well, it's the thought that counts right?

I was very pleased with my gifts this year especially my grandson coming home on leave to surprise me. The runner up gift would be the home made peanut brittle a friend of ours gave us. He makes the best I have ever eaten and his wife made me a necklace which is great.

It would have been his first Christmas away and he would have been greatly missed for sure. I know for sure he was happy to be able to be here but was probably equally as glad to get back to the warmth of Cal after experiencing the cold here in Ind. LOL

homemade gifts are always cool. I thought about doing that. I love peppermint bark and I thought about making that. It must have been really cool to see your grandson.

I picked out the scarf from my roomie and she later picked out a stuffed unicorn for me, I got clothes from my family and some pictures... I also got a giraffe from the roomie's mom. I'm happy with what I got, but the shirts I got from the family are too nice for everyday...

Yes, I was pleased with my gifts. DH got me pearl earrings to go with the necklace he got me last year. Your son had great taste to give you slippers, this is one of my all time fav gifts, which I normally have to purchase myself. Happy New Year.

pearl earrings sound lovely. My S.O got me a toaster oven, but it is what I wanted and what he could afford.

Hi! I got mostly money this Christmas. Mum gave me money for the first time ever because she got so stressed out in the shops. "Never seen so many people" she would say. The naffest present I got came from my sister-in-law which was a "smellies" set but I know for a fact it's from a very cheap shop. I've hidden it in a wardrobe at Mum's which I know is a bit mean but my sister-in-law knows I've got posh tastes in these things. Mum got me a Body Shop freebie and it's fab (the rest were a fiver each for her workmates) so why my sister-in-law hadn't got the imagination for something similar I don't know. The main problem I have now is figuring out what to spend the money on! I was thinking of ordering some bedding (as I bought 2 rather ace pillows over Christmas) and some perfume..both online but I do need some boots although haven't seen anything suitable. Decisions, decisions!

I am basically contented coz everyone gave me the same gifts. Do you know what it is? Yeah it is money. It doesn't surprise me anymore but it is good in some ways. I could buy what I want. I expect no gifts so I would not be sad If I don't recieved anything but it is funny to think that I have to recieve money from different people for a gift LOL :D

Christmas 2009 has been a meaningful one for me. I have to admit that I only receive one present and that is from my aunt and there are no more presents besides that. Perhaps I am already quite old and the younger ones get the benefits. But I was kinda contented with these Christmas as my family get to have a reunion and gathered around each other for a family dinner and that is all I am asking for since a long time ago and finally it is granted, warmth...

Honestly, I received few gifts unlike before and I noticed that I'm the giver type last christmas (which is a different experience, it feels good to give even I don't receive in return)...but with regards to your question, yes, I'm pleased with the gifts that I received, One is a daily devotional book and my favorite gift is a new bag love the color red and it's nice to use for work and even the simple gifts that I received a small notebook, angel figurine and a soap. Anyway, you're right the thought really counts

I was extremely pleased with my gifts! Not to say that I'm picky, but I feel like I never truly get what I wanted. This year was the opposite, though. I got everything I wanted plus more that I didn't think I wanted (until I got them, of course). I got a book I wanted ("The Truth About Diamonds"), a cover for my phone (it's super cute), a case of 100 recordable cds (I love making mix cds), an electric blanket (to keep me warm at night! yay!), an Ed Hardy steering wheel cover for my car.. And a few other small things. It was a good year for presents!

Very pleased with my gifts in fact. I got some good DVDs. I also got some money that I'm putting to good use. Overall it was one of the better Christmases gift wise. I cannot think of a single gift that I did not enjoy this year. And yeah, it is the thought that counts, but still it is nice to get gifts we enjoy.

I was very satisfied with mine. I got several books, including a set of Lovecraft's short stories, and I adore it. Also, I got long johns, because I'm a georgia boy and the weather in Kentucky where I go to school is colder than I'm used to in the winter. My girlfriend bought me Rant by Chuck Palahniuk, which I'm looking forward to reading, and my parents bought me Redwall. All this plus a guitar tuner and a copy of Sleepy Hollow starring Johnny Depp means I am very pleased with my gifts this year. Oh, and my favorite... my girlfriend knitted me a scarf. I love it... I've never worn a scarf regularly before, but it's so warm and I adore it.

Well, I really didn't get that much gift. But they were all nice as well. A wallet from my Mom, a shirt and slippers from my boyfriend. I'm not really choosy...like you said, its the thought that counts.

I loved everything I got for Christmas. We got essentials. My parents got me sweatpants and shirt. The sweatpants are a bit small on me but because I have to lose a lot of weight anyway, it gives me something to look forward to fit in. My little brother got me a pack of twix candy bars, A t-shirt with Barack Obama and button with the Obama family on it. My sister got me more candy and little trinkets. My aunt made me and my husband a care package with hand lotion, hand sanitizer etc. My grandparents and extended family gave us a little money. I got my husband a home gym and he got me a small flat screen tv and the video game LittleBigPlanet for my ps3. I gave my old ps2, arcade collection, and old tv to my little sister who was very appreciative because my little brother was hogging the tv in the family room playing video games. I gave my family different designed cups for drinking cocoa, tea, and coffee. Also threw in some candy, and other small things they could eat or use. So basically little things.

all my gifts were great, my boyfriend bought me a GPS, and some really nice picture frames, i love picture frames lol, most of my family gave me money, which was good considering i had to put it all towards paying bills, but what i did get was great, i dont think there was anything i didn't like. I was very happy this christmas.
