Cha Cha Slide

Hi all!
I recently started doing one of my sisters exercise dvds and I was wondering something...the video I do is a 30 minute cardio work out. And I'm doing pretty good at sticking too it, but it is difficult. So I'm trying to think of other exercises that I'd enjoy more. NOT to replace the 30 minute cardio...but just something to look forward to.
That's when I thought about the cha cha slide song...if you don't know it I'll add a link to it so you can listen. My question is, if I did 30 minutes or more a day of it, would that be a good work out?
Thanks!

Any dancing that gets your heart rate up is good cardio. Don't forget to do weight baring exercises on alternate days with cardio. Very important to have the strongest bones you can possibly have. Very your dance routines and your weight baring exercises so you don't get bored and so your body can do more things. Do you get fit TV? I love working out with Gilad.

Weight baring exercises? Is that just like lifting weights? Because weights are involved in the cardio video I do.
I don't think I'll ever get bored of the cha cha slide
and even if I do, it's so easy! lol. but I do try to be more energetic with it then just the normal following of the steps.
I do not get fit tv
But my sister has a bunch of work out dvds, i don't know who the woman is on them, but it's the same one.

no no, i wasn't saying I don't like fit tv. I just don't get it on my television
I just don't think I have the grace for all exercises. I can barely do the cardio workout! lol The cha cha slide is really easy for me, so that's why I like it. I also have a stationary bike and treadmill that I use.

Lifting weights is included in weight baring exercises, but not the only ones. Light weights can be included in cardio, but a person must be very, very careful.
You don't like fit tv? None of the umpteen different shows? Shimmy that does Middle Eastern Dance? Gilad? None of them?
I have some videos and if I ever get any $, I will get some DVDs. Some of my workouts include kickboxing, serious weight lifting to gain bone or at my age keep it, Martial Arts, etc. I have weights from 1 lb to 25 lbs.

Even 20 to 30 a minutes a day of any vigorous activity is good for you. For the not so energetic--they are encouraged to at least walk 20 minutes a day 3 or more times a week. In other words, I think the slide would be good.

Yay!
lol. It's really fun (for me at least) plus I add more exercise related movements during the "cha cha now y'all" lol It's nice to know that IF I don't really feel like working out one day, I can still cha cha

I wouldn't like to exercise with the video on link provided.
I would like to have dynamic music but pleasant to listen to...like 'Do You Love Me' or 'Dancing In The Street'...

Well the music is the exercise :P hehe. without it there is no moving. But I could have some other music playing in the background if I had to.
I'm just wondering if the link I provided is a good work out or not. Not if it's a good song! :P
