As I grow older, I find myself not putting as much into the decorations and trappings of Christmas and New Year celebrations. We do have friends and family come over to share the time with us; we just don't get all fussed up about it. The tree is up and there is a garland around the window, and there are lights around the outside of the house. But that's about all. My Mom used to do piles and piles of baking of special squares and cookies. This year I didn't fuss like that. The result? A happier, less stressed family. What about at your house?

oh i agree. you can so do too much and the end result is a stressed out person which is why i dont bake and mail out too many cards. i do do a lot of crafts and make things for presents as well as making things to sell for the holidays.
