Ha. I will not run in the winter. I am freezing. I'd probably rather stay in the house, under my heating blanket rather than face the winter outside. Yes. I do like running (occasionally) but only on a tredmill in a heated environment. .

It seems like a treadmill would make you too hot so fast. To me, that's my main problem with the exercise bike. Just 30 minutes on it and I'm pouring off sweat. If I do my run on a treadmill while I'm on vacation in a couple weeks, I'll be running for 90 minutes on a treadmill. Seems like it will be hard to do. I'm hoping I can just run outside in the snow.

Running helps in so many ways. One it warms you up in cold weather. It also helps you release pent up feelings and brush away the cobwebs in your mind. It helps you make decisions. It gives you an exhilarating feeling of freedom. So yes I think running is great. Any day better than smoking or drinking.

I like running in the cold too. But I started running in the summer, when it was very hot. So I can't say I only run because it is cold. I guess I run because it feels good (mostly) and I can feel myself being in shape. I like being in shape rather than just because a lazy couch potato.

I really like to run. I also run indoors on a treadmill during the cold months. It is definitely a great way to warm up but it also is a great way to get in shape and make your body healthy. Good for you for starting. Hopefully with more practice you will grow to like it or even love it.
