A personal gift, a romantic date and a time for both you are enough. Personal gifts are more powerful than any other material gifts that you can give. Try making something simple that recalls your memories being together for a year. Every details, events and moments. A scrapbook or something. And don't forget the letter.

You're welcome. True. Money can't buy all the happiness in the world. Good luck!

Materialistic is hard to find when buying presents, as you will never know if it will be something that she likes. Forget about the ring, rather get her a diary or a locket with your names in it, so you will not have to worry about the serious part. You can also consider a nice set of earings to go with the locket, without the names on them, of course. Just kidding. If this doesn't fancy you go get her the biggest box of chocolates and a big bouqette of flowers.

Hello! don't buy her ring if you don't want to get too serious with her, she will feel that you want something serious and you can have an argument later on about this topic...so better avoid it...get some perfume or better if you have some spare money arrange something for you two...for example, book a hotel room at a spa, take a hot tube together... do something romantic together

A ring doesn't necessarily mean you're "getting serious". You could get her a "promise ring" (OK, that implies a bit of commitment..) Let's see. You could get her a gorgeous Tiffany's bracelet (all girls like those, especially materialistic ones) or anything to do with diamonds. Diamond earrings or a necklace with a diamond on it is always a plus, and the best part is usually you can snag a pair of earrings for like $99, which is pretty good considering what you're buying. After a year, I would think some kind of jewelry is probably most appropriate.

ya, i guess your right, some kinda jewelry probably. she is kinda clumsy, so i need something that is going to be solid, and wont break easily. and im afraid that she'll lose the earings :P

There are going to be a few ideas for you. One thing I will suggest, look at all the things that she does have. See if she likes to collect something. Just as an example, if she likes dolphins, look for a statue, or a picture of a dolphin that she does not have. If you look hard enough, there might be something that she may not have that can be added to her collection. At the end of the day, she was given something that she loves from the some one that she loves.

If she's a materialistic girl, then you must really save up for your anniversary. Give her flowers and chocolates on that special day, followed by fine dining at a restaurant, gourmet coffee after, and then give her a simple token of your love, either earrings, necklace or bracelet.

I think for now, you can gave her flowers and bring her to romantic place.. the most important is that you two enjoyed your anniversary.. Let her realized that there are lot of things, such as moment and time that you can spend together than that material things..^_^
