Hi all, I know there is a vast group of savvy internet users here on MyLot. How many of you out there are "successful" Bloggers? That is...you have a blog that has a lot of "traffic" and-or "followers" that return to your blog and like to participate (leave comments - click on links...etc). I am new at blogging and can really use ANY helpful advice. Once you get a blog...how do you get it seen????? Thanks so much in advance for your reply... Tidwell

I have a fairly successful blog and really I just write about anything and everything and try to add a comical twist to things as this is what usually gets people to comment and helps me make more money.

I am also a blogger and Internet marketer. I already stopped blogging. The first reason is, English is not my native language. I am from the Philippines and not confident with my English. I find it hard to compose English composition online. That's the first hurdle I have in becoming a successful blogger. Another one, I found blogging so time consuming because I have to post on regularly. Since internet connection here in the Philippines is very costly, I think it's against to the principle of profitability to always go online and maintain a blog, as compared to maintaining just a simple website. Blogging is a strain to my budget. The third reason is related to the first one but with a different classification. The third one, i find it hard to think of what to post on a regular basis. For a blog to be successful, it must be always updated. News-type blogs are excellent example. But with my business, I find it hard to post updates. The fourth reason is, because you have to update it regularly, some of my previous posts which are very good ones, is pushed down to invisibility because the new posts occupy the front page. And it made me feel bad. Because of these reasons, I decided to maintain a website, instead of maintaining a blog... This is my point of view.

well, you seem to write English better than I do!! Very nicely written....a blog will take more of an everyday commitment for sure.

Hi there, I have been blogging since 2007. When I started with blogging, I was actually clueless about it. Luckily, a friend set up a wordpress blog for me and gave me a free domain and that's how started to learn how to blog. After you place some good articles on your blog, next step is joining networking sites intended for bloggers such as Blogcatalog, Mybloglog, Entrecard and many others. Submit your articles on social bookmarking sites such as digg and stumbleupon. Also, network with other bloggers. Request for exchange links with them. Visit other blogs and leave comments as well.

everybody hope that his blog would be successful and interest in others, but i can not do like that,i only write my thought and experience and share with others.if i want to be successful bloggers here,i think that i spend my time and spirit to do this, working hard to write what you want,it is basic reason to get it seen.

I do have a blog but I need to stuff it up before I invite traffic. I have many thoughts on which I would want to write and only after I am satisfied that it is worth reading then I will let the world know about it.
