If India wins all the matches in this series then India have a good chance of climbing up the order in the rankings and become number 1, but there is one complication that Australia should loose against the pakistan that too comprehensively. But its not the end of road India have a series against the south africans in that series I surely think India will be number 1.

Well Vivek, it's quite difficult at this moment for India to regain the number 1 spot. Currently Australia manage to be the number1 with 130 points where as India had just 123 points. That means India is lacking 7 points behind Australia. If India manages to win all the matches in the current tri series with srilanka & Bangkladesh and also Australia loose all the matches in the series against Pakistan, then only India will manage to get into the number 1 spot. However keeping the current scenerio in mind, Australia is not going to loose all the matches againest Pakistan on it's own soil. Hence Even though India manages to win all matches in tri series , it will not be able to reach the number 1 spot for now. However If India manages to win further matches, then Soo we can see India in the Number 1 position.

India have a bad luck of loose final .. when India become final winner ever then india gain first rank and it will continue for most time...
