Don't you think professors should be nicer to their students?

In my school, especially the thesis panel, are very mean and strict. No offense, but their salary comes from the students. And the students are working really hard because of mean professors, and some of them don't really deserve the respect.
Another thing, in our school, the priority parking slots, those near the buildings themselves are reserved for the professors, and the students have to park elsewhere where they need to walk far to reach the buildings. Isn't the money used to build and pave those parking lots from the students, or specifically their parents. Why be so hard on us. I don't demand that the student and faculty parking be switched, I just demand the fair treatment, anybody, whether professor or student can park anywhere, first come first serve. That is fair.

I was once a college Instructor or a mentor for almost 2 years In a big University. Based on my experience sometimes Teachers need to be strict for naughty stubborn students for them to learn, but not always. Sometimes it pays well to be friendly with them with limitation of course.
Both the students and the teachers have equal rights to convenience. just like your example in the parking areas of your school, I believe what is happening is fair because teachers should really occupy the nearest portion for them not to be late, to get tired and catching their breaths upon entry in the class rooms and lastly as a respect and also a privilege for being a mentor. Teaching is not just easy as we think, you may have all your money with you but you can not buy real and dedicated educators.

If all professors are dignified and worthy of respect, I would agree to that, but not all of them are like that, its reality.
On a lighter side, can good professors be sorted out from the bad ones? Then the good ones will be the only ones who would get the good parking slots hahaha. That would be very interesting hehe.

To be honest, the workload for professors are a lot more strenuous than high school teachers. I think that they are grumpy because of reasons like that.
