When is the right time to return to your Harry Potter books? What an experience!

So, you love Harry Potter? These books are old news now but I remember when I last read them! I entered a world of excitement, thrills, adventure and lots of other experiences I cannot explain! I love to read and I go through different books but there's the time when I occasionally think about Harry Potter! That time has come around again and I dig out all my Harry Potter books and start reading the first book in the series! I never become bored with them and it seems that I can read them over and over! I forget the world around me and escape! Do you return to your Harry Potter books or do they gather dust in some dark corner? Time to get creative and express yourself! Andrew

Evening Andrew! Yes, I love Harry Potter! I've seen a couple of the films on TV during the holidays and I'm planning to reread some of the books soon. I've reread every book but the Half-blood prince before I've seen the film, but I didn't have time for the last film so I've planned to read the two last ones before the last films come out. Torunn

Oh yes! I've definitely seen all the films and they are terrific. It's nice to compare them with the books I think! I love the fact that the books are so thick and they can take quite a while to read, I think you get a more enjoyable experience! I only wish that the series could have continued on and on! J K Rowling may come up with something similar, you never know! Andrew

I imagine you can get a bit angsty when you finish a series like Harry Potter and want to start on something new. Everyone's going to compare it to Harry Potter, and it might be hard to match it.

Well i don't know about when it's the right time, all i know is the wrong time to read them. Don't read the books for months or a year before the movie comes out. In that way the movie will be refreshing and great as opposed to having the book fresh in your mind then watching the movie. This causes disappointment and complaints about the movie so better NOT READ THE HARRY POTTER BOOKS MONTHS BEFORE WATCHING THE MOVIES. I'm talking about Deathly Hallows part 1 and 2. That said, it's all up to whoever wants to still read the books before watching the movies. Hahaha.

I like both the movies as well as the books and I like to compare the both of them! You are right, I think it's nice to delay one until the other has been viewed. I love my Harry Potter books and I constantly return to them over the years. Thanks for your thoughts. Andrew

Hi Andrew! I love Harry Potter as well and have read all of them. I thought it is just for kids at first and I'm not interested at all that time. I've tried to read it since my friend insisted that it is really good and being a good friend I've tried it to make her happy. I became a fan instantly after reading a few chapters. I haven't missed any HP movies as well. I've re-read the book before watching each movie to refresh my memory =)

I think it's good to watch the movies as well as read the books, they are very exciting fully of different adventures contained within the pages! I don't recall how many times I have ready my Harry Potter books but it's been quite a few times now! I'm really looking forward to the moment when I pick them up once again! I'm reading something else now, taking a short break away from Harry Potter I guess! Andrew

I think these books are easy to return to as they really take you places that are beyond the imagination. I take huge pride in my collection of Harry Potter books! Andrew

Yes, I've noticed that about reading a book over and over! You become so used to the characters and you already know what is going to take place but I still enjoy the journey of going through a good book like Harry Potter. The Harry Potter books take up quite a lot of space on my book shelf but I don't mind this, these books are priceless to me! Andrew
