do you need to give your credit card number to your paypal account?

i just opened a paypal account today and i did not link the credit card to it. will that be ok?

no need of giving your credit card number to your paypal account.But if you want to withdraw more than 500$ a month.Then you need to give your credit card number.

its ok. no problem with that . u cannot withdraw funds if you did not link your card on paypal. thats why they need it. and also u cannot purchase some stuffs in the internet without verifiting your paypal account. u must link your card to your paypal.

You can attach credit card later on, no problem et all. Basically its used for verifying your a/c and making purchases. But make sure you open your paypal a/c with legitimate information, so that in case of any disputes you can verify your details on paypal.
