How do you defend yourself from your enemy or bad stranger?

Let’s just say you are walking in the street and someone grab you and put a knife on you so that you will be afraid and unable to move, how do you defend yourself from the attacker?, Me being a woman must have to learn to defend ourselves. We don’t know what will happen so its better to be ready. You, do you have any idea on how you defend yourself. Some says bring pepper spray, but how can you get your pepper spray if there is a knife that is about to be put inside your body. What I want to know is how to hurt the hands of the attacker before hurting me. I want to leave him disable before anything bad happned to me. Is there anyone out there can share me tips or even website or has attended a training program to defend themselves?

if that thing will happen to you always have a presence of mind and try to look for any chance to escape him just give in and be cooperative at first and when he begin to trust in you that you wont fight him then it time for you to grab anything that you think could really hurt him and hit him with all you strength to immobilized him then run and seek for help.presence of mind is the key for every situation that

After years of being bullied at school, I wouldn't let any scum bag mug me. They only single out women because they think a woman wouldn't fight back. Someone tried to mug me at a cash point once, he came up to me as there was no one else around and told me to get all my money out. I told him to push off and he told me he had a knife in his pocket that he'd use on me. I reminded him that we were in the town centre and that I knew or a fact that not only was there a camera in the cash machine but there were 7 cameras in the small area we were in so he wouldn't get away with doing anything to me. He looked round me and a massive bloke was walking up the road so i turned to him and said that if the police don't get him, my boyfriend would and pointed to the bloke. He soon ran off. Don't let these cowards bully you.
