There are times when bosses can be really unreasonable. They think that they are always right because they are the boss. They won't listen to you, they give you impossible deadlines, they blame their mistakes on you.. I have a male boss, and sometimes he gets me so upset that I just want to punch him on his face. Do you think if I have a female boss I would still feel this way? Which boss is better, male or female?

First of all, let me tell you that I am a woman. I worked with both male and female bosses. I would prefer to have a male boss compared to a female one. Here are the advantages of a male boss over a female boss.
Female boss:
Easily get carried away by people who are good at flattery.
Good at showing partiality to friends.
Shows less care to women related issues.
Male boss:
Shows more consideration to women employees
Easy get permission or leave.
Less cunning and biased compared to female boss

daliaj! So,you choose the boss to your concern and not to the qualities of the boss seat.Women boss like you have mentioned are not to be sitting on a hot seat where you have to reach targets or without setting any goals. And about the male boss,I think that suits the same. They might not have any strict discipline for them and nobody to watch over.Either way, both category are not fit for the seat.

In my experience I have found male bosses to be fairer and - frankly - more of a laugh to be around than females. The female managers I have worked under in the past have all since departed their respective posts whereas the two really good males remain in theirs. I rest my case. The slightest whiff of trouble and women can't handle the pressure, I'm sorry but they can't and the ones who CAN are the really butch types who are so aggressive they may as well have been born men anyway.
I have never been in contact with a woman manager who has a rapport with her workforce...and they ALWAYS flirt with male employees, something I hate with a passion,as it's usually the ones who are rubbish at their jobs. Why do they do that?! Also, they tend to be unsympathetic about womens problems (health wise) whereas men go red in the face but DO talk to female employees in a compassionate manner. They are also very good at keeping confidential information to themselves; women have it banded about the office in a blink of an eye, exaggerating the info as they go to make it more interesting.

Male boss or female boss need not be the question at all.Whether he/she acts like that for the up growth of the company with good reasons behind or just he /she wants to show his pride on the subordinates is what concerned.Bosses can be of two types. One who drives with a whip without caring and other who gently pushes you towards the goal.At the same time we should not forget that all employees can't understand good words. Some needs a whip.

I'm a female and I have had both male and females. I would pick a male boss anyday over a female boss. When females get a little bit of power (I'm not saying all female bosses) but many, the power goes to their head. Male bosses are so much easier to deal with and are so much nicer. I have had some great male bosses that I still call and talk to on the phone and I haven't worked for them since 2001. I'm sure there are some male bosses who can be quite tough but I have only experienced one out of 32 years of working, but he was hard on everyone so I just dealt with him and didn't let him get to me.

It doesn't matter whether my boss is male or female What matters is how he/she does the job to manage employees. If they stay professional, there isn't going to be too many problems. I've had the crazy ones and the sensible ones. Right now, I'm stuck with the ones (male and female) who like to abuse their power and pass the buck on responsibility. They nitpick and blame everything on everyone else.
