My furnace in the house just went down. I was told it was cheaper to get a new one. We really need a new furnace but right now we are financially unbale to pay for a new one. I was told it was not worth it to fix the furnace as it will cost more in the long run. Anyone has any idea how i could make some money quickly? I should say where i am saying now a furnace is very critical as the weather is very cold. Please help our credit isn't very good.. What can i do?

I would start by calling your local human service department. In many cases, they are able to assist with issues such as this. There are emergency funds set aside to help with winter heating bills, repairs and home improvements. It is usually based on income, but if they cannot help, they may be able to guide you in the direction of a church or organization that can help. Until then, you may want to check into a kerosene or electric heater. They are generally low in cost and will keep at least one room of your home warm. Make it fun for kids, if you have them, by telling them you are having a camp out. Tell stories, pile up the blankets and have an easy dinner like hot dogs that can be enjoyed without making a huge mess. Good luck and stay warm.

We tried that. Apperently we make to much money. We just got back on our feet. It is just frustrating. Trying our hardest to make it work out some how. I did find someone to do it for us. I just have to come up with $2500. Thanks for the info..

I wish you much luck! It is unfortunate that the income limits are set so low. It appears to me that they haven't been reviewed by anyone who has to buy their own milk in the last 20 years or so. Perhaps someone else on Mylot will have a few ideas of places online where you can earn cash fast. I've never had much luck with finding quick income opportunities.
