Do you work in retail? If so, which department?

What store (or type of store) do you work at, and which department within that store do you typically work in? I work at Macy's and I'm just curious to hear from others who work in retail and have retail experience. Which department do you work in, and how busy does it get during sales? I've worked in several, as they tend to rotate me to wherever they need me (as I'm a part-time "on call" support associate), so I've been in almost every section. I've found that during sales, the WORST place to be in is home - specifically housewares and textiles (pots, pans, appliances, cookware, etc) - every customer has a question, needs to find something we don't have, needs help carrying things to a register (ugh), and it's generally a very cramped area. Another bad area for us is juniors - just because it's such a huge section and is such a wreck once a what seems like a million teenagers tear through it. Sizing, general recovery, & fitting room recovery are the biggest issues..But also general cleanliness (people leave their garbage everywhere! ugh!). I'm thankful when I'm NOT put in those departments during sales. I typically work in a section called "Ready to Wear" (womens' clothes), which can get busy, but is generally calm and not too hectic. What department do you work in (and at what store?!) and which do you think are the best/worst departments to work in? & why?
