why do people treat others in a very rude way?

I hate it when someone treats me or my friends and family different from everybody else because of our religion or political or just or plain views, we dont treat them the same so they treat us like that? i remember once we were in another country we were there for a few days and the people took advantage of us because we are from the United States and tried to rip us off and treated us really bad even though most of these countries are living on our taxes :S why cant people just be nice and treat us all like they want to be treated is that too much to ask for :l i just hope people end this racism and start treating everyone else with respect

hey shatila..
what country were you in?.. thats too bad for you.. they should have treated you nicely since you are tourists.. and anyone here would have agreed with me that all foreigners who go to different places are treated as tourists except if they already lived in that area.. people should be nice to everyone and of course also to people with other races and other beliefs..

Being rude is a reflection of one's state of psychology.To some people, it can be attributed to their social status. E.g very wealthy people display this to the poor. Racism also can be seen like a direct relative to rudeness. When a white person confronts a black person, this can also be noticed.

when it all comes down to it, its the person's choice to be nice or not to someone else.. being nice has its own benefits.. and being rude has its own consequences.. i say if you can be nice to everyone then why not.. we dont need to be rude to be noticed or to be ignored.. their is always this option to do things nicely and to say things politely.. and if rude people find it hard to be nice, there is always this thing called respect.. just dont lose it so that people will still respect you too..

i am really sorry if i am going to offend you in any way .. but i want to highlight a few things to you dear ..
i saw the "self esteem" or "ego" when you said you were from United States and claiming "other country" living on your taxes
Are there no people in "United States" who rip off others in their own country ?? then how come there are cheats and crime there ?? Racism does not exist in USA, i am surprised .. ??
It comes within us .. our smartness and our intelligence to survive in any country - never blame others for our own mistakes ..
Being nice to others who dont deserve it is a wrong choice - it is time you start studing individuals and is if they are good friends - you dont treat everybody they same - different people have different "values" you have to learn to place them in that place.
Dont blame the whole country due to some individuals who have spoiled your stay - you made the wrong choice of friends ..

sanjana__aslam maybe you did not offend her but you did me I am also from the U S. sure all countries have some people who are bigots,racists but do not call us egoists or self esteemists, just because we love our own country, this is our country we were born here, being nice to everyone is something Christ taught us, it does not hurt and it may help to change that person who you say does not deserve it, you are being judgmental and thats not so nice really as in other words maybe you look down on people who are not as wealthy or are actually poor, do not do that,its not right,no of course you should not blame a whole country for what some of your idiots say but it hurts to be bashed because we are Americans do not judge,you will seldom judge right as you do not know this mylotters story or my mylotter story, we might be really nice people sanjana, I like to think I am, as I try to be kind and loving to others. and why do you call her dear in that condescending way. does not sound sincere.

People are negative towards others because of fear. Many people simply fear things that are different from them. They feel that it will change them or make them different and they want to keep their surroundings and themselves the same.

I think it is better to end racism, whatever may be the religion, caste, creed, color these are not important for me. I think whatever country you belong to, it is not important we are human beings and we need to be treated with love and respect with one another and we all are equal in God's eyes. We all are his children and when we are equal for God why do we have differences between us? Let us live happily. What do you say, am I right. Have a nice day and a very Happy New Year.

Is it the first time you are meeting people who are rude?
I am sure you have met people with similar attitiudes in your own coutry, it's just that maybe you had nothing to offer them, so they showed you a different face.
Sometimes when people travel, the people who see them assume a lot of things about them-they make assumptions about their age, about their likes and dislikes, about their level of reasoning and many other things.
Their assumptions may be based on what they have been taught, or what they see on t.v., believe it or not.
You have to be aware of this and keep it in mind when you travel.
There are people who get stopped and bodily searched at airports just because they are coming from particular countries. People look at them and see a stereotype, not an individual.

God made us all so we are all brothers, and brothers do
not mistreat brothers at all. I am with you .Why cannot
others treat us the way we would treat them, just because we
come from the US does not make us monsters. Racism is a sick
disease that needs to be cured. we should respect others as we

yeah i cant stand people like this, i am nice to everyone no matter if we are different or just feel different about any issues. as long they respect me i give it back, but if they dont respect me then they dont get any from me
but i think people like this no matter where you go, some think they are better then others and they are right all the time, but i think that thier life sucks and they arent happy unless they are making someone else unhappy.

Rudeness should not be shown at all to anyone, even to the one showing rudeness towards you. Just understand that this rude people were not brought up well by their parents to adhere to good manners. Or maybe their parents were rude by nature so it comes out from them naturally.

The main reason why other treat others in rude way is because that is their character as a person. That is the effect of environment to him as seen in his behavior. Some are effect of competition like going in any place where you will be a tourist, they will take advantage of you because they know you are innocent about their place and them. Environment and social activities has great effect contributing to the person.

Culture, beliefs, teachings and education are only some of the factors why people tend to treat others iddiferently or worst is in a roughly rude manner. I believe all creatures are equal regardless of race, color, religion or nationality. A person who practice racial discrimination deserves no room for understanding, respect and good social relations.
