Hello,I'm a Chinese,I think not all of the Chinese lotters are like what you said.Indeed, some Chinese think online making money is illegal, because they were cheated by some website .And our government is remidating in this phenominon. As for the question of why few Chinese in nylot,I think it's because few people know this website ,or they think their English is not so better. So I think if "mylot" strengthens the publicity, more and more Chinese will come here.

The Chinese Government is not happy with Western Internet sites. They are frightened by the truth, and the truth can hurt the Chinese Government. Do not pressure your Chinese friend. This friend is unfortunate enough to be living under a Communist, repressive, regime, without coming under pressure from outside his country. Just be nice to him, and hope he will be happy.

This question does not only concerns china. There are millions of people across the globe that dont believe that the internet can give one money. Some base their reasons on involvement with scam sites which have made them not to believe in online money making.

yeah! some other reasons are...there are many websites like myLot can make people earn money from them, but more websites caution people do not be cheated by online making money~

Your friend is wrong. MyLot pays as I have proof that they paid me. Well, what I would do is provide him proof of payment. Also, I would download some videos from youtube to show him. I know youtube is blocked in China. Too bad. Moreover, you can have him read the Frequently Asked Questions under the myLot tab. I would definitely bring what you said up, to him. Why would there be over 190 thousand people registered and why would they pay if it were a scam? It may be a waste of time for some people because I know some people don't want to do discussions at all.

There may be some problem with translation but I think that the statement was that 'earning money online is illegal'. He wasn't saying that one couldn't earn money online or that MyLot, in particular, would not pay: for some reason, his argument is that there is something illegal about earning money online.

China recently enacted legislation that drasticly restricted internet access even more than they already do. Sites must register their IP's and be put on an aproved "white list" in order to be accessed from china. I wonder if Mylot has been blocked there now....I kinda saw this comming a few weeks ago. Mylot had quite a few chinese citizens on it for the longest time.

If he doesn't want to hear it, I wouldn't try persuading him. Surely there are other people you can interest.

I do seem to find more and more scams on the internet. I remember in 2000 when I got my first computer it seemed as if there were more free offers and direct offers on the internet. Now you have to read the fine print very closely plus everyone wants a credit card to do anything and there is not enough monitoring of what's on the internet. So your friend may have had a bad experience on the internet and thinks everything is a scam or illegal. Yes, we don't make a lot of money on mylot but we make money. I haven't read any horror stories like some sites of people not getting the money they've earned.

I think we need to make such opinion clear before it give bad effect for other people. We all should know that China has strict regulation about internet especially if it has financial issue. Making money with mylot however is ruled under United States laws. If some terms are illegal according to China laws, i think it's just geographic matter. I think you can asking your friend to give more explanation about what is the meaning of illegal on your friend's point of view about mylot. I believe all mylotters known that we all here doing sharing opinions, thoughts, questions, and ideas. No any illegal activity here. We didn't sharing files illegally, we didn't sharing bad informations here, and we didn't supporting any kind of crime here. So, which part is illegal? Have a nice day and happy mylotting.

hi windsorking, Maybe because his perception about internet business/work are different from us. Maybe you should explain to him how things are with a certain site. Like with your example you can let him know what mylot is all about and what it can do. It is usual for a person to have hesitation in joining or getting involved with a certain program because of lack of knowledge of the said matter. Telling him that it isn't just about the "money" that we do here, it is more than that. The knowledge and information that we can get and impart in this site are endless. Everyday could be a learning experience. But one thing is for sure, you cannot push someone to join if there is no willingness or eagerness to be part of this site or any other site. Just do your part and share what you know then let him decide! Happy lotting!

Have your friend come into mylot before? Or is it because he is a victim of scams and thus he deems that all earning money online methods are illegal? It's pretty hard to convince someone who has his own assumption on something until he can see some proof. Maybe you can tell him more about what goes on in mylot such as having normal conversations and posting photos just like what people do on facebook (other than the games part which mylot doesn't cater for at the moment) whereas the getting paid as an additional feature.

In my opinion, earning money through the Lot is not perservative enough. Firstly, such money-oriented purpose is not widely accepted.Secondly, such earning is really attractive at all. If someone really need money, he had better find a prospective job and working hard on it, instead of wasting the time on this Lot. But, apart from the money aspect, this lot is a good opportunity for your friend to improve his English Writing. I supposed this is enough for you to persude him. Besides the writing, he can also learn much different ideas from a lot of people, regardless of different country, different region or different grade. It will do good to his life's value.

Different people always have the different thoughts. As a Chinese, i'm quite familiar with this ideology. Cos there are so many scam sites in China and gradually become skeptical for everything. The first thought is always "It's totally bullsh*t" and won't have a try.
