Or so says an Italian Professor. I am not sure how many of you believe this stuff, but I really can't say whether I do or don't. In one way I feel that their is no telling an illness from a painting because that is what it is, a painting. The painter could have protrayed his subject more swollen, or skinny as a stick, but that does not mean that is the way they were... Then again, I feel that such dedicated artists would want to perfect their art, and as such would have every detail as it were, and none false. Well just read the article, and tell me your opinion. Remember, this is not a ref link. http://www.sphere.com/2010/01/06/did-high-cholesterol-dim-mona-lisas-smile/19305253/?icid=main|main|dl1|link3|http%3A%2F%2Fwww.sphere.com%2F2010%2F01%2F06%2Fdid-high-cholesterol-dim-mona-lisas-smile%2F19305253%2F

I'm with you on this. I'm not so sure I believe that they can tell from a painting that she had high cholesterol. I'm thinking if that were the case, we surely wouldn't need all the tests we have to take. If they could tell that by looking at her our doctors should be able to look at us and say...oh..ok..you have high cholesterol...lol

I didn't actually think about it that way but your right, if they can tell from a painting, doctors should be able to tell by looking at us. Of course, instead of going in, we could send them a snapshot of us, with everyone having digital cameras for the most part, it wouldn't take long to take a recent picture and send it on it's way. Of course who knows in years to come diagnostics could be available through gaming system, but then again I doubt it. Doctor's would be obsolete, and then who would there be to take all our money? lol... Though I suppose an OBGYN would still be needed, as even if it could, I would not trust a machine to help me birth my baby.
