After so many years, just thinking about our first loves seems to send our hearts a-flutter. What is it about our first loves that grips our imaginations, even five, ten, twenty years past the fact? Whatever the cause and whoever it was, the one we first loved seems to be a permanent part of our consciousness. We can't forget him/her~ and who would want to?

Hey GreatLife! I have had "many great loves" in my life and I thought that I would never get over them, but I have! There was one in particular that I really thought I would never ever in a million years get over! He was someone that I loved and knew that I could never have (long story). I had run into months ago, he started calling me again and I refused to answer the phone! He called me on January 2, 2010 to wish me a Happy New Year and I still wouldn't answer! I am finally over him, am with someone whom I really love now for over two years! So, it is possible to get over "true loves"!

..yeah.. first love is always in our memory.. the first person we ever fell in love with is the one whom we have experienced our firsts.. like first kiss, first of everything.. the first experience we have are all memorable and we always have some comparison when we thought of the person we have now with the first person we fall in love..

Hi Great, He is someone who was the first to make me feel extra special by making sure that i reached home safe or he even took me home from school, send me flowers, cards, love letters during special occasions and anytime just to surprise me. he loves sending me stolen shot pictures just to let me see how he loves me being candid. he too was the one who had the guts to talk to my parents about his feelings and asked permission to take me home from school and visit me during weekends. I am just 17 and he's 21 years old then. but mind you...no holding hands, hugs and kisses. i appreciated so much how he respected me. You know what, we have the same wedding date but of course we did not end to be the couple but we are happy with our own respective spouse and family.
