Everyday the first thing I have to do is having a cup of coffee and reading the local newspaper. i have to go through what's going on in my town, my country and also in the world. If a day I forget to do so, i'll feel like loose contact with the whole world. What do you think aout this? Do you just like me read newspaper everyday?

Asanlee Ji, It is one of the very good habits to go through the newspaper daily. You must know what is going on in your city, state, country and the world. You can go through the sports page, business page also as per your interests. Or you could go through the movies; it all depends upon your interests but never and never miss the newspaper. I would rather say that there must not be any holiday in the newspaper offices. To tell you the truth, I daily go through two newspapers which our hawker daily supplies to us; namely The Tribune from Chandigarh and Dainik Bhaskar from Ludhiana.

Well once a week or sometimes just once in a month if needed we only bought newspaper to read some article and available jobs...at the same time we watched the new on Television so we could clearly see what's happening around us.

Hi, No I don't. I should but I don't buy it because money is tight right now even though the paper isn't a lot and I don't get it delivered to my apartment. Most of the time I just read the news on the Internet, it's easier for me and I still can find all the top news and a lot of it faster since some of it doesn't make it to the newspaper until the following day. I love to read though so I do check news out online every day and I like knowing what's going on as well.

Hallo sahsports ,we share the same habit to check through every news everyday, only we differ by the media. I agree it's a bit of wasting money and paper. But it is more relaxing , I can read while I am sitting on the sofa,or lying down, I mean not necessary to sit properly in front of the laptop or PC. So I still prefer read through "hardcopy News". Thank you.

What is this thing you call a newspaper? Of course I'm just being a smarta**, but I actually dont read the newspaper at all anymore. I just don't find a need to read the paper when the same news is found on the TV or the internet, and you get a far greater perspective on any given issue than with a local, or even a national paper. Not to mention I can get the same local news paper in a digital copy online so personally I think the traditional newspaper is a dying breed. It will go on for quite some time, but eventually there will be no need at all for a hard copy piece of paper to give us the news. I will say there is a danger to that, because anything can be changed on the net. But, as unfortunate as it might be, the world is moving more and more to a paperless society. I dont know that it can truely get there, but I predict more and more newspaper companies either converting to digital media or going out of business as time goes on.

Hallo..Ravenblade ..I agree that so called"printed" newspaper will be slowly subtituted by digital media, maybe in recent time will be taken over by "online" news. But in our developed country, it is still widely required by the society, because not everyone here are able to own a computer. Some of the people here still read "hardcopy" news. Computer is still consider as luxury things, too expensive for them. They just afford to buy a newspaper. Thank you for your comments...nice chatting with you!!!

hey asanlee! I used to buy newspaper every day but lately, I don't get to buy one. I just browse news via my laptop or notebook, sometimes in my phone or I just watch t.v for it. (it's free!)lolz! It is more practical and saves paper too.

Recently I find reading newspapers really entertaining because I only read articles about politics and showbiz. I avoid reading the news on murder and stuff. I specifically love articles regarding politics because people are in hype right now about the coming Philippine election.

Hi, I hate newspapers. What is the purpose of it? The first thing we should read is our scriptures or at least some good books, that teaches us to love each other. Newspapers don't serve the main purpose of human life, which is to live with peace and harmony and to follow god's path of righteousness. Rather, I think, they lead us just the opposite way. Also newspapers are efficient in creating artificial needs in human mind. Of course, there are some columns that can make your day. But I seldom find something like that in a newspaper. Take care God bless you all

Hallo...pineapple...that means you never think that it is important to know what has happened outside there, am I right? Or you still care about it, only that you are using another media rather than newspaper. Or maybe you dont like to read something serious, so you just read through sunday news which is more about entertainment news. Anyway you still love reading...Happy Reading!!!!

No I do not read the newspaper everyday. I might get a newspaper once or twice a month to get some local news but I get most of the news from the tv or what I read on the internet.

Hi Asanlee, I was a regular buyer of a local newspaper in the past. I stopped buying because aside from having piled lots of them in the house, I can read it online. It saves me from buying, too. I already consider it a waste to buy newspapers. After I am done with it, it is already useless. In the past, we made money though from the old newspapers --- we sold it per kilo.

Yes, reading newspaper daily is a habit that I nurtured since my childhood. This stated with my father. He used to go through Daily Newspaper every morning. I do take out some time to go through the headlines quickly. I only read important news that time and rest all in the evening. Reading Newspaper gives a lot of benefits to us. It keeps us update on the happenings around us - in our state, country, world, in sports, politics, cinema, TV, business etc.
