Hi guys a friend of mine just finished attending driving school and is waiting for her road test so she can get her license. Unfortunately for her, she has no car and her brother who is very close to her drives an SUV. He allowed her to use the car and she has but does not feel confident while driving it and has even had a minor accident once. She prefares small cars which she learnt with and with the snow she is afraid to drive because of the road conditions cause, we hear of a lot of accidents. I adviced her to try to get her own car but she it will take her a whie to get enough money. My question is this, do you advice a learner to drive an SUV?

Hi Lindiebiz I would advise this friend of yours to get some experience driving smaller cars before she opts for an SUV.SUV's drive much more comfortably but are more bigger giving a novice driver the jitters, when driven early in their driving days. Moreover early accidents can create major dents in their confidence .I suggest a small car in the beginning to get the steering balance and sense of the car in space right before moving onto bigger vehicles.
