Nah. :P I think it's Mario. That's why they're called the Mario Brothers. Mario Mario and Luigi Mario. :D

If you really want to put this mater to rest check out wikki. There are several debates to the issue, and if anything wikki may actually provide useful info. To be quite honest I've never seen a last name in the games I've played. It could be he was never given one.

His last name is Mario. That's why they are the Mario Bros. It's Mario Mario and Luigi Mario.

My other half works in the games industry and says that Mario doesn't have a surname, it's just Mario and Luigi

My friends said that Mario and Luigi has a last name. And I can see it on the game itself. But I have no idea. I guess you're right. Thanks for the info. :)
