President Obama on several occasions stated that the Health Care Debate would be done in Public and even said he would have it covered by C-Span. When Speaker Pelosi is asked why C-Span is not broadcasting the Conference Committee she laughs at the question. Then she tells us that politicians say a lot during the campaign. Either she is calling the President a liar or she is the one making the decisions and is really in charge of the government.

I would love to see Pelosi get put her in place....(out of politics in my opinion) but I don't see Obama doing it.....or at least he has not been able to back her down yet. She has a lot more power and clout in Washington than he does. THe president can only Veto or sign a bill. He does not write it or submit it for a vote. But members of congress do. So therefore they weild more power . They decide what gets put in or left out of a bill. If you are speaker of that house....you yield more power than them all. Pelosi uses that power like a baseball bat. She won't go down or back down quietly. I don't think Obama has the expierence or nerve to actually do it. I hope I am wrong.....but I dont see it happening.

Oh now come on. Please tell me you have not figured that one out yet. Everytime Obama has tried to take a stand against Pelosi on something sence becoming president he has LOST. She has been in the game longer than him and plays it better than him.....his inexpierence shows big time. Want to know who runs the show....look at the speaker of the house. She runs the show. I figured that one out a while back. She does not exactly hide the fact.

I know it and you know it but what can we do about it? I can't vote he out of office. Maybe this will help get people behind the movement for term limits so one person does not become so powerful.
This is a question I want people to think about and offer suggestions on how to prevent this concentration of power.

This is exactly why we should have terms limits on all elected officials. So one does not become a defecto dictator or tooo powerful.

People are the primary overseers of the government that was establish for their own welfare and interests. Public informations such as the controversial Health Care bill that concerns most of the citizens should be known to them well in all respect.
However not all executive forum are open to the public especially when it is not yet well polished, initial debates -from the legislators on a certain bill or program proposal shall be away from public scrutiny and view when not yet rested in its final stand to avoid more delay and complications.
We the people must decide for our government through the right to vote or suffrage, our chosen officials will serve as our bridge to come up with a right decision that came from us supposed to be and not the other way around.

Most local governments have rules about open meetings and there are only certain things that they can discuss in closed session. the problem is that we were promised by all the Democrat leaders promised us a new openness and specifically the Health Care Debate.
