It is winter here, but i find this winter is much colder than ever before. Usually the temperature is 0 or at most minus 4 degree Centigrade, but now the average temperature is below 0, it is minus 5 to 8 degree Cetigrade, strong wind, storm ,very chilly! I heard the news yesterday, the temperature in some area is under -30- -40 degree centigrade! It is so hard for me to imagine how cold it is ! It is so terrible! Will we face the situation which showed on movie:THE DAY AFTER TOMORROW? So my lotters, what is the temperature in your local, do you think it is abnormal? Pls share with us, thanks!

It's definately COLD here! We were at a wind chill of -27 this morning! Interresting that you mentioned that movie! Last night it was snowing (On top of Christmas snow that hasn't melted!) and it dropped from 42 to 8 degrees yesterday. I was mentioning HOW cold it was (and how much it hurt to be outside) to my family and they were making fun of me by re-inacting the scene where the people freeze instantly! I said, "We should watch that movie tonight!" Did you watch the movie after you started your discussion? Bear

I am not as shocked as many people, becuase we always have harsh winter here in Chicago. Nothing new, in fact, we have an average winter, it was worst in the past years. It is snowing, but the arctic weather already moved oversees, so we have mild winter with only -6C, almost like a summer with a lots of snow. Compared to days with -25C, peace of cake....

Yes, i know from the news that people on northern hemisphere are facing the big storm, while people on southern hemisphere are facing the flood. All the governments on the earth should take care of this problem!

This was one of the rougher winters. Actually there may have been a winter about five or six years ago which was pretty bad. This one is pretty bad. Especially considering the fact that last year, it was not really that bad. In fact, there were a few forty and even fifty degree days around this time. Now its lucky if it gets in the double numbers. Right now its about eight, with a wind chill in the negative numbers. So I'll be staying clear of coming outside, thank you very much.

I guess I happen to be one the more spoiled people on planet earth when it comes to weather. I live in Southern California where the average tempature is about 75 degrees a little over 300 days a year. Even when it a really cold winter its rare if we get below 30 degrees and in the winter we average 40-60 almost all the time. I dont know of anywhere else save maybe hawaiwi or florida that have tempatures as nice as here. Even then they are much more humid than here. So yeah I'm spoiled
