Do you like to eat cold things like ice cream in the winter time?

So I don't know if it is just because I got one of those Amish mantle fireplaces as a gift or if I have always been like this, but I am loving cold food, and it was like eight below zero last night! i've been pretty good, mostly super cold water, frozen grapes. But I totaly made a rootbeer float and I am loving it tenderly as I sit at my computer. So I want to know who else does this? Am I the only person on earth eating ice cream in January?

You are not the only person eating ice cream in January. It is the middle of summer here in Australia, so I am sure that the ice creams are selling pretty fast at the moment. Even in winter here I eat ice cream as winter is not all that cold where I am. I do not eat dairy ice cream bought from the store though. We have an ice cream maker at home and we make our own raw vegan ice cream which I believe is far tastier than any store bought ice cream as well as far healthier too!

Most of the Aussie population are not unfortunately, but it does seem to be changing as more and more people are becoming aware of the fact that what they put into their bodies is making them sick.

Well, where I live, it's fairly warm in January - so sure, I wouldn't mind eating some ice cream right about now - hee hee!! But I think it depends on the situation. If I was freezing (apparently freezing isn't real freezing in California), I probably would rather eat something warm . . . but hey, who can pass on some great ice cream!

I would love to have a day of truly freezing weather! How many times have I wished for snow or a blizzard outside our window (only because we've never experienced it living here all our lives!). But I know it's different living in it every day . . . wow - you get three more months of winter? Well, that just means 3 months more of ice cream - hee hee!

Yeah we love it too. I got kids in the house, and there is always ice cream in the freezer. Even in winter time. As long as there is heat in the house, they will always ask for their favorites when I go grocery shopping. I tried to buy and make hot chocolate drinks specially for this winter. They tried it once, but unfortunately, nobody liked it. It just now sits in the cupboard.

You are not the only person on earth eating ice cream in January. Are you not aware that those living in the southern hemisphere are going through summer? You may be the only person in the northern hemisphere eating ice cream but I doubt that too. I'm sure lots of people have their thermostats turned up much higher than necessary and are eating ice cream to stay cool.

I heard that many people in winter eat ice-cream. This really keeps the body warm. My friend can attest to this. So I think you may not be the only one. It is normal human reaction.

wow I guess I'm not quite like you - I've never even tasted what frozen grapes taste like! sounds like a nice COLD cold cold icy idea though. personally I prefer warm drinks. someone was just mentioning today that ordering warm drinks instead of cold at lunch is a signal of growing older! I do live in a tropical clime so I must admit that I am not very often facing cold weather... which is ironic as well since it means I should be drinking mire cold drinks to bring down the temperature!

Frozen grapes are good. Frozen fruit period. The only one I found that doesn't work so well is frozen apples, but frozen apple sauce is soooo good.

no, i don't like it. i can't eat cold food in winter, not to mention ice cream. cold food is bad for the stomach, and my stomach is fragile somehow. i even avoid eating yoghurt. my hands and feet are always cold, so i prefer to eat hot food to warm up. anyway, to eat the things you like without worrying about the body is wonderful, isn't it?

Yeah, I never stress about food. I love to eat and make healthy choices the majority of hte time so when I do eat something from the fatty, junky, sugary group I just enjoy it.

Hiya tawny, Personally I usually don´t eat really cold things in Winter. This is a very cold place where we live and I think hot meals are a must and also hot drinks. However the odd icecream that is´nt ice cold altogether would not be too bad as for ice cold drinks in Winter unless I was overheated from the Central Heating which I don´t put on much anyway I would say take something that´s not totally cold to cool me down.

Personally, i am more inclined to eat cold food during cold weather. I love it, most of the time i eat ice cream and just sit at a cafe and watch people. It's an amazing feeling. I don't know how it goes about eating cold food during cold weather. But it's fun. Instead of feeling colder i feel happier. Of course the temperature doesn't change but i think you know what i mean.

I think maybe I like ice cream even more in the winter than in the summer. But maybe I will have a cup of hot chocolate with it. Frozen is about the only way I will eat grapes. To me they taste sweeter when they are frozen. I also eat frozen cranberries. They are tart but I like them frozen with oranges and dipped in chocolate. I prefer cheesecake frozen too and also brownies.

I do some times, but when it is really cold like now, I do not. I think if I want it, I would eat it no matter how cold it is. I stay cold so I like to use hot foods, like soup and hot cocoa. Have a great day.

i guess u must not be the only one on the earth to eat ice cream in january, but i dare not to. even in summer, i still feel it's cold or not good to eat very cold things, such as the fruits just taken out from fridge. i'd like to wait and eat.

I love ice cream! I only eat it in the summer though. I am always cold and eating cold things seems to make me shiver. I much prefer hot things during the winter months. I don't eat yogurt or cottage cheese, some fruits anything that must be cold. I have never had frozen grapes, but they sound good. I will wait till summer to try them though.
