Is www.myeasytask.com related to mylot?

I received an email today from someone inviting me to join www.myeasytask.com. here is a portion of the email:

"Dear Friends of MyLot ...,
I believe that you have received some private messages over at MyLot during the past couple of weeks informing you that a new Website is about to launch."

Has any of you joined this site? DO you think it's legitimate? does it have any relations with mylot?

Hi Calai,
Hope you still remember 3 weeks ago i did send you the invitation regarding discussion of make extra money. i did send you the invitation for Myeasytask to your mylot private message. Then within 1 day you did replied me your email addr thru mylot private message also. Pls check your history on your private message. The subject is make extra money. :)

I didn't receive any such type of message but I know
Myeasytask it a good site to get extra money. But I don't think their is any relation between these two sites.

Sounds like spam to me and I would use the 'contact' link at the bottom of the page to forward the mail to myLot.
Anyone using the name of myLot to promote their garbage should be stopped

I received that message on my personal email so I got confused why he was addressing me as "MyLot friend". i never received any email in relation to that here in mylot so I guess it's really a scam. my problem is ow in the world that guy knew my email? it's not even the email i use here in mylot..im really confused..

Have you ever left your personal email here in any discussion?
Or joined any site using it? Or sent it to a friend in a PM?
Or maybe over the holidays you received an email from a friend that was forwarded to others and the emails were available for all to see?

To calai618. In fact one of my team member of MyEasyTask did request your email address from you a couple of weeks back. That is how we can send the email to you. in fact only a handful of about 20 people here in MyLot received this email from MyeasyTask and it is not a spam. We actually did write private messages to the friends here at MyLot and asking for their email addresses and also inform of the new website before sending the invitation email out to each of them.

A website is labeled as scam only when that website accepts money from others and do not deliver the products/services, or that the website provides certain products/services and do not make the payout to others as stated in their terms of usage.
However, MyEasyTask is a website that was only launched on 8-Jan-2010 which is 1 day ago and have not received any form of payment from users yet not have they started to calculate the payment due for the month of Jan-2010 as well.
Therefore, I will not classify MyEasyTask as a scam site until it doesn't pay it's members as stated in the terms of usage or takes payment from its members and don't deliver the services accordingly.

it was sent on my personal emaail..i havent been here a lot so I really dont know if what he was saying was true..it seems like i am the only one who recieved such so far so I guess it's just someone's way of luring people to join that site..using mylot would really be a good strategy..

Hi Calai618, i would like to let you know that i am the owner of myeasytask website.
I believe it is one of my business partner that have contacted you using the PM at MyLot and mentioned about a new launched website. That is how we managed to get your email address. In fact we only wrote to about 20 people here in mylot who are interested to know about this new website and therefore we have sent out the email to each of the respective people that have provided us with the email address.
sorry if we have caught you off-guard on this and confused you that this email has to do with MyLot.

I agree with others here that this has nothing to do with MyLot.
Although we are told not to do so in the Guidelines, many people unguardedly post their email address in discussions and responses. I suspect that a few people harvest these email addresses and use them to spam people.
Have you ever posted your email address in a discussion or response?

Hi calai, I haven't heard of it, nor have I recieved any private messages, but that is not to say it's not legit. I would say just treat it with care. Good luck!

It's not connected to Mylot in anyway. I think someone from here just sent you that e-mail hoping to get some referrals or something. I checked out that link and it looks like some new site that is similar to microworkers. They are having some type of promotion going on that gives a person $1 for every referral they get. They probably just randomly sent that mail out to a bunch of people here hoping some people would sign up there. I haven't joined there and I don't know if it's legit or not. It's too early to tell right now since the site just launched today.

To all the mylot users. I would like to inform and clarify that the email with regards to MyEasyTask is not a spam. I am the owner of the website and I do not spam on emails or on the private messages in Mylot. I have asked permission for their email addresses before sending the information and email out to the respective users. Only a handful of less than 20 people in mylot have received this email.
MyEasyTask has nothing related to MyLot at all and it is a genuine and legit website. It was launched on 8-Jan-2010 and you may contact me for any details or further information about the website.

it could be asscaited with it mylot, I think mylot is one website the is a part of one compamy. but then again I am not faimuar with the site. the e-mail you recived could be spam so be carful.

I haven't received any emails through myLot about this site and I've never heard of it before. I think you've been spammed! It might be one of your "friends" that is trying to rope you in so they can get referral money. I usually delete people like that.
