Meet my red-bellied woodpecker!

I don't see many people since I don't have a job so my dogs and the birds keep me company. I really enjoy watching the birds outside my window and was thrilled with this red-bellied woodpecker appeared a couple of days ago. I have no idea why he is call red-bellied because his belly is not red, just a part of his head. He and the Starlings go round and round about who gets the suet, even though there are two feeders. What kinds of birds do you have where you live? Are they your friends or just things that fly around outside?
