Is a Laptop Centrino faster then Core 2 Duo? / myLot

I have decided to buy a Laptop. But I'm confused about it's configuration. Is Inter centrino processor faster then Intel Core 2 Duo. Help me to choose one Laptop with good configuration.

hi Centrino is a laptop technology with overall CPU & wireless technology,not CPU.The Core 2 Duo is the CPU, and Centrino is overall technology there is difference. -- Centrino Duo contains a Core 2 Duo processor,wi-fi and intel chip-set/mobile motherboard, as a whole. -- hope that information useful to you.

Centrino 2 is Intel's term for a performance set of Wireless, Processing and Battery Life, a laptop's best friend. Core 2 Duo(Quad/Extreme/Royale with Chesse) is a processor, a component of the Centrino 2 performance set of features and benefits. I hope this helped.

Hi friend, In my opinion is core 2 duo is best and good. Recently one of my friend has taken a new laptop of dell company.This laptop is core 2 duo and good configuration. Core 2 duo 240GB hard disk DVD writer In built web camera In built speakers. Have a great day.

no centrino is not fast as core 2 also because the centrino generation did not take into consideration the core power and speed!!so if must choos between them surely a core 2 processor is better as perfromances than centrino one!!

Core 2 duo is an advancement from core duo processor. and core 2 duo is type from centrino model. a slower model is celeron, which only have single core processor. at the beginning of multicore raise, intel celeron is positioned as a replacement for pentium 4, which now has retired. a dual core processor is absolutely faster than a single core one.

Intel based processor are known for best possible normal activity. on the other hand, AMD provide processor with the ability to hold harder burden. for using normally, you can go for intel centrino one, though i myself use AMD Turion X2.
