Before being a boss, what do you need to learn?

I read that it is no easy job to be a boss working for himself. One reason of many people's failure is that they did not make preparation before they started their own business. So what do you think business owners should learn before they get their business started?

Hi magic9? Being a boss is not easy that's why they need a good preparation on it. Like what you said, if you will start a business and you are the boss. I guess you must know how to manage your business because that's one of the most important role of a boss. Then regarding to your workers, you must also know their feeling in their given work with your business. In addition, when you are already a boss always remember that you must study very well the status of the business. 
Last, always put in your head that theres so many trial you may encounter to build a good foundation of business!

Well, the most important thing, before you get a boss, is to learn how to direct your subordinates right, so that they respect you and trust you. No one can be a good boss, if he/she doesn't care about her/his people and doesn't care about that, how they feel and what they want!

Business experience is absolutely essential. You have to know how strong and demanding the market is for what you are starting a busuness off. You need to have enough capital. You do not make it as you go along. You have to have money to make money.
