I never try it before. usually I travel together with my friends or family. Joining the tour travel, so not alone, and all already prepared by the travel agency. I always notice that many foreigner like to travel alone, some backpacked travel to another country. I wonder whether they feel lonely. I dont like that kind of feeling.Besides I have nobody to share the beautiful scenery, good food , interesting attraction if I travel alone, that's why I dont like it.What about you? Do you have this kind of experience?

When my mother was alive and in a nursing home in another state, I made the trip to see her every other month. It was about 500 miles each way, and I drove it alone. Since it was just me, I was usually able to stay with relatives. I enjoyed the scenery, but after the 4th or 5th trip it got routine and no longer remarkable. I just drove and rarely stopped for anything except gas. I would not consider going to another country by myself, although I've considered going on a cruise with a bunch of people with the same disease that I have. I'm sure that it wouldn't take me long to bond with a few or more of them.

Hi Bellis.... yes...it's not much fun to travel alone, especially driving alone, nobody to talk to, quite tiring...maybe just listen to music, but will get bored easily....Hope you enjoy your holidays on a cruise...wishing you best of health!!!

I don't like to travel alone, but I have done so for many times as I have no company for it. It is very inconvenient to travel alone. To travel with someone, you won't feel lonesome and you feel more secure.

in fact,i don't agree this way.as you said,we can't share the beautiful scenery and delicous food with each other, and the most important is we are not single.why the word be beautiful because has all the people.as i am ,i get the happiness from sharing.

I have not tried traveling alone so I can't really say if I like it or not. I would want to try it though one day. Usually whenever I travel I am with my family and friends. I don't want to be a lone in a place where everyone is a stranger to me. I could travel a lone if I would be visiting a friend living in another place or county though. However, that would be different since still there would be someone waiting for me in that place where I am going to visit. I am an extrovert so r, I knew I prefer always to be with someone else. However, I knew introvert people who would rather spend their free or spare time alone than going out with friends or family.

Hallo Lady...I agree with Lucky ....many people consider extrovert but sometimes they also need to be alone. Maybe just to have a private time to sort out the problems. Yess...Just like you I also want to experience travelling alone but I still feel that Travelling will be more fun if it is done together with friends or family.

Preference to be alone is not always the case of introvert. Take for example myself, I enjoy being alone but in charater I am very extrovert. I think introvert is something negative, but to alone is something different. Thank You

I have never travelled alone. I do not like the feeling of being alone, especially when one is in another country. It is not that when one travels alone, there will not be any company. What I mean is it is sort of agony when there is no one to speak your mind as you would with your close friends.

Yes friend ...I understand what you mean.....but I still suggest you to experience it alone once, just once...just to know the feeling......so the other time you'll more cherish being accompanied....

I tried to travel alone once, but I didn't like it at the end. Because you would feel lonely and sometimes you even couldn't take a photo for yourself. It is better to have a company and the journey will be happier. I love China

I used to love travelling by myself when I was younger, in my teens and my twenties. I did it quite a bit, and it used to give me an amazing sense of freedom and adventure. And I loved the feeling that I could go wherever I wanted, do what I wanted to do, and eat whatever I felt like, without having to consider anybody else! I haven't travelled alone for a while now, not since I've been married and become a mum. Now I just like having the chance to travel at all, lol! And I love it when I get the opportunity to travel with my family.

hallo ...most of us prefered to be accompany by someone, after married we couldnt just leave our children behind, so seldom have chance to travel alone, right? I think it depends on the journey, if just a short one , then will be no problem to be alone for a while. If it's a long journey maybe will feel bored, so we need companion. Do you think so? Thank you for your comment.

traveling alone is really boring..but some people who are also friends of themselves can enjoy the travel in their perspective..so it differs person to person how to view and enjoy the world of travel, journey and voyage...

Hi...Emma not everyone want to do that. Maybe you should try? ha ha....

I dont mind travelling alone but I must say it can get very boring especially if the holiday is very long. The journey can also get boring if you dont have a companion. Usually when I go on long holidays I prefer to go with someone else either family or friend, but I am not really into organized group tours etc. If its a small travel plan sometimes it feels good to do it alone.

Hi tripper, if we travel to the country nearby will be no problem, if we already familiar with the place. But if we have never been to that country, I prefer to join the travel agency, they will arrange for us everything, will be more convienient. Yes...a long vacations better have a companion...more fun.

hallo...friend...Are you really enjoy being alone? Have you ever thought that sharing a new experience with others will be more fun? Maybe you just used to be it.....used to do everything independently.....It's different from me , if I go travelling to have fun, I want to share with others, friends or family...I dont like to be alone.....

Hi, asanlee. No, I have never traveled alone. I would love to have someone with me when I am traveling to a place that is not that familiar to me. I would feel more comfortable then. But there are certain cases that I would like to be by myself with no one with me. I would like to pack a single bag with just a few pieces of clothing. I would have two cameras that has plenty of film. And I would have my cell phone on me too. I would make sure that I have enough of money to spend so that I can eat and go shopping with. I would make sure that I get an private suite so that I can be in peace and quietness.

I agree completely. I would not want to travel alone. I usually go with my aunt but the trip to Italy was done with my high school Latin class. I used to feel the same way with concerts, but after going to two alone Im alright now. Its more fun with friends, but its not worth giving up the experience. I wonder if you were told that you could see a certain place for free but only if you went alone...I would do it. I think just about anyone would though.

Hi HansonFan...even if it's free , for me it is a bit pity, if go alone, nobody to share, I will feel lonely. I don't have a mood to enjoy it.

I haven't experienced traveling in a far away place alone so far and I think I wouldn't want to try if possible. Of course there will be some times wherein opportunity knocks at our door and we will have the chance to go somewhere by ourselves. Though I hate traveling alone, but I guess I would grab that kind of opportunity. I have seen a lot of people experiencing this kind of situation. I have seen my cousins who went abroad to work by themselves. I was thinking it was pretty boring but some how a great chance for them to travel outside our country.

Hallo...pentagan12, going abroad to work , maybe not that lonely, surrounded by colleagues, customers. If travel for fun alone, it will become not that fun. it is my own thought, others will not think the same. Some still enjoy it.
