Have you ever retrained and totally changed career? If so how easy was it to do and were you glad you did it?

I was at the prime of my career but getting quite bored with a 9 to 5 job. Without batting an eyelid I just put in my resignation one day shocking quite a few around me and srarted my own business of designing landscaped gardens which was actually my hobby. It was indeed a good decision! It gave an opportunity for my creativity and also there was good money in it.
