It's a computer. - This is just as an example to show you the type of desktop i own. What do you own?

What do you use? What is the best computer in your opinion? Take one sec to answer. Personally I enjoy laptops more. Sitting anywhere in the house playing games, working on projects, and just surfing the web. My laptop is custom, but i would prefer Gateway over a Dell.

Hi albinowhite1 . How about both? That's what I'm doing now, but the laptop is a notebook. The desktop is being used for research and printing at this time. I have more than one computer because that's what it takes here sometimes just to get one job done!

I currently have both, and let me say, the laptop is more comfortable. Just sitting where i want is what i like. I think its good to have the option to go anywhere you would like.

I am having both Laptop (Lenovo G430) and Desktop (Assembled). I feel good when I work in laptop because we can work wherever we wish. So if you want mobility then prefer Laptop or else go to Desktop.

I like using the desktop better , my kids use the laptop more. It's nice to have though if I need it quickly. I do have to use a mouse though if I play any games on it , too hard without it.

It depends for me, I enjoy my desktop, an don't think I really need a laptop seeing as I use my phone when travelling about, or around the house etc.

I prefer laptops over desktops. I currently use a laptop and I got a refurbished Compaq Presario which I bought about two years ago from Microcenter. I like it because I don't have to worry about having too many pieces like a desktop would. I don't really move much with it as it sits on my desk most of the time but it is easy to move out the way when I need to clean up my little office.

I personally prefer desktop computers because they have higher features they can be easily upgraded they might be stuck at one place but they come in one big package.Speakers, big wide LCD screen, adjust keyboard according to your movement don't have to carry weight like mouse, headphone etc, Can be opened and checked for minor problems like routine clean ups, More usb ports, add on slots etc etc.

Ok here's my 1 second answer ` LAPTOPS RULE! Nothing beats the portability and convenience of laptops. A desktop computer just cannot compare - at leasst not for me. With my laptop I can acess the web virtually anytime I want to (especially when I have mobile internet activated). This enables me to maximize my time and make more money online!

I prefer a laptop over a desktop as I can take the laptop around the house, where as I can't take the desktop. i did have a Gateway computer with Vista on it, but now I have a Dell with Windows7, and I really like it. I prefer the Dell over the Gateway, but that is just my opinion, and others might disagree with me, but that is okay. I know desktops have bigger screens and the resolution might be better, but I do have a widescreen on this laptop, and it is so neat. I will stick with the laptop any day. Take care, and happy mylotting.

Yes its more fun to use the laptop. You can use it everywhere u want. But for now my only concern is im not yet familiar with its CPU and that i dont have an idea how to do some troubleshooting when necessary. With desktops, using electical power,i think they last longer, but gamma rays might be bad for the eyes, unless of course ur using a monitor shield.

for me, it really depends on the need. but for the past few years, i prefer laptop to PC. this simply just because laptop is getting more powerful then ever, yet more affordable. it's true that for some reason, people still need PC for their work, but for laptop nowadays, i think it has same performance as PC.

For the view, I think vista absolutely beat XP. But this only for view. for the performance, it really depends on the system. Say, vista needs more powerful system than XP needs. According to me, if our system is not so strong, it is better to keep XP than changing to vista.

It depends on your needs. For me, laptop is the way to go since I need to be online 24/7. Think about it, 24/7 online with a desktop computer would weigh much on your electricity bill. I only use my PC when I'm playing games with high graphics.
