Hello all! So in the last fe months alot has changed for me. I lost my job....Thats a whole BIG deal. Then I lost my unemployment..right before christmas...Another big deal. In the midst of this I moved my family, my dad, and a friend. Oh and for those of you who read my last post I lost a good friend in the mix too! Ya fun fun! Yep thats how it goes...all at once!!! LOL! So the whole job thing was a crock! Long story short my boss believed another employee about an incedent that involved me and he fired me. He didnt talk to me or any one else who was working. He didnt give me an opportunity to even say my side of what happened. (mind you I was manager and had been for 8 months without ONE incedent!) So of course I went for unemployment. Well I got it for 2 months and he filed and appeal. Of course he didnt want me to get it. Well then court dates were chganged...i wasnt notified...bla bla and I lost it. Right before christmas! That sucked bad. My hubby worked his butt off to make a good christmas for the kids and still pay bills and eat. Rough times! Anyway I just wanted to know if anyone else has this happen to them? Everything hits the fan at once! Thanx for your time! ~May The Kisses Of An Angel Cover And Protect You Always~ Copper

I can completely understand, seems like everything hits the fan every week around my house. Some days you have to take life one hour at a time. Seems weird how no matter how bad it really gets it all works out in the end. Keep your head up, look forward never back. Cant change the past and certainly cant fix things that are the result of someone elses actions. Mylot really helps me to vent or get my mind off my own lifes issues :)

Hi Copperkitten: So sorry to hear about your troubles. Sounds like your employer wanted an excuse to cut back on expenses and you fit the bill nicely. If you were replaced at all, you were replaced with a less expensive employee, I bet. Since you were not notified of the court date, is there any way you can appeal the appeal? You are blessed to have a wonderful husband who came through and kept things going for the kids at Christmas. Yes, I totally understand what you are going through. I can think back and remember times when one or neither of us was working along with having a new baby and me with medical problems that we could ill-afford. I am happy to say, we survived it and came up stronger for it. You, too, will come out of this OK. Just hang in there and stay strong.

Hi Copper and welcome back! Haven't seen you in a long time! I don't see any reason why you cannot appeal this. I think you have just cause for doing so, since he didn't even talk to you first, and just fired you. I would do that if I were in your shoes, and I'm very sorry to hear how unfair that was to you. I at least would give it a shot, you have nothing to lose, right? I hate when employers get away with crap, especially today! I know how lousy it is to be out of work, and it's only me and the kitty, no hubby to help out. I lost my job months ago, cannot find one at all (age is against me I'm sure), filed for S.S., which only is enough to pay my rent, period. Since then, haha, when you think things cannot get any worse, my car broke down, my microwave broke, my tv broke, and all my credit went down the drain and collectors are calling me all day, drives me nuts. I did my best for as long as I could but now it's really bad. Oh whoa is me, and yes, everything does hit the fan all at once, lol!

Well I'm really glad to see you back! You go girl and don't let that guy get away with it, fight!, fight!, fight!, haha. Trying to find work has been the hardest trial I've been through in ages, it's completely ridiculous, and the employers are playing games with everyone now. You couldn't imagine how many jobs I've seen where they want a years worth or more, of experience, when even a monkey could do it. Can you cut salad up? No, you can't unless you have 1 year experience. Could you pull weeds? No, you can't unless you have 1 year experience. Can you talk and chew gum at the same time? No, you can't unless you have one year experience. That's how stupid they all are getting, and it's extremely frustrating. Or, you're doing the work of 20 people for minimum wage.........OR, GET THIS!..Send a picture. Yup, do you believe that? Let me ask you something.....about that oar. Do I need experience in rowing?, haahahaahahaahaha!

HAHAHA! You always make me laugh. I had plenty of experiance im the field I was working. He had me train 3 new managers then told me I could have a 1$ an hour rasie. I was pumpped!! Then 2 days later he fired me and let the others be managers. Now I think it had to do with money. He payed me 9$ an hour and the others were payed 7$ an hour to do the smae things I was doing. Ya when it comes down to it money won out! He didnt want to have to pay me more!!! Oh well. Whatever. From what ive heard the shop has gone WAY DOWN HILL since I left!!! I hate to say it but Im glad it did!! That will teach him to fire the one good person he had!! No one I know or ever served will ever go in there again. They dont like the other people in there and are mad cuz i got fired!! About the oar....Ya you need 87 years experiance...6 refrences...and your own oar!!! If you qualify please leave message!! LOL!!! ~May The Kisses Of An Angel Cover And Protect You Always~ Copper

Sorry to hear about that :( It does seem like when bad things happen they happen all at once...I'm not doing so well myself, I can't find a job and my bank account is overdrawn and they're about to close my account but I don't have the money to bring it back up... All I can say is I wish you luck and I hope things get better for you.

Hi copperkitten. Well, glad to see you are taking a positive attitude about it all. Also, if your employer was like that, it's good you are no longer with him or her. Aye, I was terminated "without cause" just before Christmas in 2006. However, God has provided.

I can not say that I've had everything (the Poop) hit the fan at once, but I'm sorry that it happened to you. What happened with your boss was unfair, but you seem to be a very strong woman to have pulled through all that has happened. I'm sorry you lost a good friend. I'm not sure that I saw the discussion but I think I have. In any case, I wanted to respond and say that I am sorry for all that has happened, but am glad that you did get through it, and this is a new year full of new and exciting possibilities for you and yours. You've not found another job yet I suppose? Well I hope you can find one soon, it was not fair what your boss did, and I think that it was just wrong for him to believe one person without so much as asking your side, or any other employees on duty. Did this one person just not like you? Well Let's not dredge the past up though. Have a wonderful day and happy mylotting. Sorry to say I don't think I've seen you around much.

Sorry that things are in this state. There are times in life when things can get really messed up and I have had my share of those times. However through it all I have always relied on God. Isaiah 41:10 (New International Version) 10 So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. I can say with all honesty that he has never let me down. No, he has not taken all pain and suffering away. But somehow things have always worked out. Every negative has eventually turned into a positive, though it may have taken a while. Hopefully brighter days are just ahead for you!
