I have and I was traumatized for a while. I was in the doctor's office when they brought in this lady crying. She was shouting "Doctor Im not gonna make it" and soon after she gave up the ghost. That was a first for me. I didn't know her yet I cried for her. Have you had a similar experience? How did you feel?

I have encountered several instances. As you can see, I have worked in a rescue service for about 13 years as a paramedic. So often people call us when there is an emergency. There were instances that I and my team responded and have witnessed cases of people dying as we provided lifesaving care. It is really sad. But as much as possible I do not let it affect me. I always say to myself that I did my best and perhaps its Gods will already.

scenes of dying can be seen in various hpspitals. i have never ever witnessed any person dying. but that is really unimagineable to see someone dying in front of anyone. how is the situation of that person who seeems smeone dying in front of him. this is really very disgusting.

i have witnessed people dying a few times in the hospital. The first time was traumatic. I feel like i want to sympathize with the patient's loved ones. But I walked away so they couldn't see that i am affected too.. the following times, I was getting used to it. i mean, I should empathize not sympathize.

to tell you the truth i did witness one. he was different though, he had cancer and i could see it everyday that he was dying on the inside, to me it was as if he was dying slowly right in front of me and i couldn't do anything to save him, eventually i couldn't and my hope was gone. it was just a normal morning going to play a soccer game when the news broke upon me, i didn't even want to play, even though i won that game, i lost the war for him..............

Yes.I have this very bad experience which will linger in my memory and heart forever.I was by the side of my father when he was breathing his last. And I just cannot forget how much strength he needed to breath those last ones too. That makes each and every breath I take very precious every moment today.

Hello again wenjule. Yes I have, both as a minister and as an EMT / CRT (Cardiac Rescue Technician--Maryland). It is a pleasant experience when the person dying is ready. It is worth it to be ready to leave.

I have yes experienced such. My father left us in pain last 2006.i Knew that he had suffered so much that I somehow had to "let him go".He went thru a lot of difficulty in the ICU that every moment i was with him, i just had to pray harder than I ever could. I shed tears seeing him suffer and just couldn't bare seeing him that way. Everytime he would see me and my family, i could see the struggle to still want to live but again, the body is weak even though the spirit is willing.I love my dad sooo much and i miss him. His last moments was not pleasant to remember but i cherished that moment still. They were all doctors and nurses around my dad. My eyes kept looking at him and the monitors.NONE ELSE.Every pumping to revive him was painful...but i knew then that God has called him HOME AND dad just had to go.:(
