How old were you when you fell in love?

You fell in love at what age? What age did you really know how to LOVE and be LOVED? I married my high school sweetheart but honestly it was puppy love. The marriage lasted almost 20 years. But then I woke up and realized we are two different people going in two different directions. I couldn't even call him my friend. I have no regrets, that is one of life's lessons for me. I needed him to grown into who I am today. And without him I would not have my two children. I did love him but I was not in love with him. Total difference in the two types. I love a lot of things chocolate, pizza, and moonlight walks.lol For the record I was 33 when I fell deeply in love for the first time. And I have maturity to thank for that. Even though that relationship did not last but 10 years, I will have the memory and feeling for the rest of my life. And I cannot wait to find my soulmate and make this last "till death do us part".

I feel in love when i was 14, freshman year of high school. I joined the running team since everyone else in my family had and I felt it would keep me in great shape for soccer even though I despised running. The first week of running you go to a camp for a week and that is where I met this girl. I was definitely the shy type back then and I was afraid to approach her. Every guy my age could not keep their eyes off her and we all talked about her that whole week. It wasn't until the last day of camp when we ran out of chairs that she asked if she could sit on my lap. Of course my heart started racing and I felt like I choked when I said yes, but thankfully she heard me and happily sat on my lap. After that day we went back to school and I was still super nervous around her and my heart would pound every time I got the chance to talk with her, even if it was for a brief moment. The first school dance was coming up and my sister encouraged me to ask her to the dance. I had never been to a dance before and I was scared to ask her in fear of getting rejected. With my sister nagging at me to do it I knew I couldn't let her down and most importantly the girl who I idolized. I built up enough courage to confront her and after practice but when I said her name I started getting dizzy and very light headed. Somehow I asked her to the dance but I clearly don't remember those few seconds until I felt her jump into my arms and give me the biggest hug of my life. From that day on I knew she would change my life. We are seniors now and I have spent the best 4 years of my life with this girl. We only have a few months left until we part separate ways to go to the college of our dreams which unfortunately are in different states. We constantly talk about how we want to make things work and get married since she is truly the only girl I have ever loved and can imagine loving. Hopefully things will workout and I plan on making these last few months the best of my life.

haha thanks! Were still going strong! In fact were better then we ever have been before. Every time we fight we can't stand being away from each other and it only makes us stronger. I feel like this girl has changed my life completely and I just hope we can stay together forever.

Wow that's rather unusual that both of you would just accept your marriage is over etc. I thought I was in love when I was 15. I was with the guy for a long time before he broke up with me. It hurt like hell, scarred me for a while. A couple of months down the line when I was 17, I realized it wasn't love ... I mean love never truly ever ends. And it just did with him. But yeah, this guy came and swept me off my feet. We get on well, have alot in common and well, hopefully he's the one aye? (:

I never said he accepted it.lol....It was just time to end it. But no regrets. We all THINK we are in love at times. In fact it is just infatuation and nothing more. And yes, love does hurt. I wish you luck in your relationship.

Honestly? I felt inlove when I was in the age of 15 years old and In third year high school since. I really inlove with my girl friend where I give all the hands i can give and give the best way to protect her. Well, she's really attractive because of her beautiful look like a super star . In addition, the reason how can I say that i really felt inlove with this girl is when she break with me, I bent down in front of her crying and saying that I Do not want to lose her but it's not effective for her. Then I Just let her go. May be we are not for each other, but I'm very thankful because I meet her in my life.

Well I would say you still have love with him. Now it is through a great friendship that could last a lifetime. Good luck when you find love again, because you will.
