If you could change one moment in your past, what would it be and why?

I do believe at one point of our lives, all of us wished we could go back and change something that we did in the past. It may be wishful thinking but we all do it from time to time. So, if you had a rare opportunity to change one thing you did in your past, what would you choose to change and why?

It is said that the slip of the tongue is not the error of the mind but it does enough damage and so it is in that area I wish I could go back and take back words which put a barrier between me and another.

I totally agree with you...two thumbs up!! They said that the tongue is the most powerful weapon in the world that can destroy antyhing. May it be unintentionally but once you said something --then it cannot be taken back just like that. The trust that was earned in years can be gone in an instant because of that. I would surely want to go back and take back words myself that made me aloof to the people who were once very close to me and part of my life. I wish that's possible...

I definetely agree with 'allknowing' and 'underdogy'. Words can either make or break a relationship. It can break the strongest of friendships and marriages. Years of love, respect, and trust can easily be destroyed by one fatal slip of the tongue. I believe that sometimes words can do more damage and scars than physical wounds. Thank you both for your responses!

yup.. i guess mistakes help us to become more better persons than we already are.. there are always bad corners in life.. but they cant keep us from going back to the road of life.. we have to keep going.. its just the way life goes..

That's a very nice insight you have there. Experience is the best teacher, and the mistakes or failures we committed in the past leaves us with valuable lessons. These lessons then help us grow and mature and make us a better person. Thank you for your reply! Thanks for the welcome too. Cheers. :)

Hi, hr I have made it a rule not to regret anything I have done in my life. This motivates me to try to do good in everything and to be kind to everyone. However, there are times when I look back and wish that I have done better in school. I should have been more diligent in my studies, participated more in school activities and had good grades. Cheers!

Hi 'Rainegurl', thanks for your reply. Some people say regrets are just a waste of time while others believe it teaches us valuable lessons. For me, the most painful regrets are the ones that teach us the most valuable lessons and really have an impact in our life. I also have those moments when I look back at my college days and wish I could have done better. However, I realize now that it is not the sole contributing factor to one's success. Work ethic, attitude towards life and setbacks, and ability to form good social relationships, also count along the way. Cheers! :)

This would be a sad and depressing answer. But If there's one thing I could change in my life, it would be the night before my father passed away. I wish that I spent quality time with my dad during those last moments. Though we had the most memorable conversation, I wish that I spent every waking moment with him....

I could have done better in college. It took me a while before I figured out what I want to do in my life. So I drifted in college doing things that life randomly threw at me. I didn't have a goal to focus on so I never got there.

Hi there, thanks for your reply. Yeah, I can see where you're coming from. There are times when I realize I could have gotten a higher GPA in college and possibly graduated with honors if I just had been more focused and dedicated to my studies. However, I believe it's not one's grades in college which is the sole marker of professional success. I believe work ethic and attitude towards life and setbacks also count too. Thanks for the reply!

I don't think that there's a moment in my past that I want to change... because I've learned from those mistakes.. and I believe that everything happens for a purpose.. I know that God has His reason why He let it happen and why He let me do those mistakes.. and I know that one of them is to have some learning.. cause you won't learn something if you don't make mistakes.. and those learning has make me a more better person today.. :)
