I noticed a peeping tom at my window today!

Don't be alarmed, he was quite small--a sparrow! It gave me quite a start, he was staring at me intently. Then 4 more of his friends joined him, all of them watching me and craning their necks as if to get a better view inside the house! I wonder why they did that? I had just filled up the bird feeder so it couldn't be begging for food!
Have you ever had birds that behaved a bit strangely?

I doubt they saw their reflection. It was rather gloomy outside and I had no lights on in here but it's still a possibility. I've just never seen that behavior before. I hope they do it again!

That's weird! Our bird feeders are close to our windows but I've never seen them peering in before..

My feeder is about 10-12 feet away from the window, hanging on a tree. I think we now mutually enjoy watching each other!

hi dragon54u oh yes indeed mine was a big black crow, he would look in sit on the window sill and watch me type, then go caw caw caw,I tried going caw, caw , caw, back so he flew off and returned with two others. he would go caw caw to each one, they would go caw caw, then he looked at me, cocked his head to one side and went caw, caw, caw. this time I just went caw caw. oh my he blinked and they all went caw c aw,and flew off .now I have no idea what two caws means as opposed to three but I evidently did not pass some sort of test. he he, my imagination has worked over time on this but not come up with a plausible answer either.

He may have been trying to communicate. Did you know that crows can count up to 11?! 1-9 would be remarkable enough, but a creature that can grasp the concept of zero as in 10's is very intelligent.
Maybe he thought you were funny, crows do have a sense of humor! He brought his buddies to laugh at your antics as you did something strange with your "claws" like typing!
I'll be they were sharing a joke--I'm sure they think we are very strange and funny!

Hello my dearest dragon.
I do have this type of voyeurs or peeking toms if you will, as the pigeons near my place often come to the windows (both in front and in the back of my apartment) and spy on what's happening in the house - they also turn their necks as if they are really looking to see something or someone inside.

I think birds are smarter than people think--curiosity means thinking and even though their brains are small, I think perhaps they amuse themselves with humans.
