Simon Cowell is leaving Idol next year

I've read this morning at Yahoo! that Simon is leaving America's most popular reality show next year (not this season), as he's gonna be at his other show The X-Factor (it's popular in UK).
That is just sad, because he is a very essential part of AI. I don't think the show is gonna be the same without him. His nasty but helpful comments are being booed by the audience, but admit it, Simon makes the show more fun to watch. Paula has gone, and next year it's Simon who's leaving. It is said that the ratings of the show this past season has declined. What more if he left? I am a huge fan of the show, and he is my favorite judge.

That made me sad too...
I've heard on the news that American Idol season 9 will be his last. He will be doing X-Factor. I like the show as well and I always watch every episode of it, Simon gives "spice" to the show and his opinions and remarks are mostly outrageous, funny and mean. But, its his signature, he made the show more popular by being so prank and cruel.

True, while the contestants are the main "cast" of AI, Simon is a very essential part of it. The name American Idol is glued to him already, that's why every time I see him on TV, it's AI that comes to mind. I'm gonna miss the nasty comments and the fights between him and Paula.
