mother's and wife's cooking - comparison

for husbands only!!!!-Have you ever compared your wife's cooking with that of your mother's ?? and if yes wonder what the reaction was - I am lucky as my wife being from a different region there was very little in common initially , tho' my wife picked up a lot from my mother; so was just wondering what if ..............

Come to think of it, I think I did say something about mum's cooking but it was not like "her's was better than your's." It was just that I had a hankering for some things I used to eat that my wife did not cook. Dorcas is a very good cook, but we have slightly different ethnic backgrounds. Her's German - Dutch. Mine German too, but Russian, Polish, Lithuanian.
