posting the same discussion

Mylotters please help me.I'm posting/submitting a discussion when an error message pop-up my screen telling me that my discussion was not posted.I can't remember the exact words from that error message so I created another post with the same topic.After submitting I saw that my earlier post was there the same with my second post.How can I delete the other one?Will it affect my ratings?The subject was the same.Some of the words I used in the details were different but the thought was still the same.What will I do?
